Pitaloka, Karina Eka Prasetya and Prof.Dr.Agr.Sc. Hagus Tarno, S.P., M.P (2024) Perbandingan Tingkat Keanekaragaman Serangga Aerial di Hutan Rakyat dan Agroforestri Kompleks Desa Genengan, Kecamatan Pakisaji, Kabupaten Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Insects are an important part of biodiversity with various types and roles in the ecosystem. Although some insects can be detrimental pests to plants, many others have beneficial roles. The role of insects is divided into five main categories: herbivores, predators, parasitoids, detritivores, and pollinators. This research aims to analyze the diversity and role of aerial insects in community forests and complex agroforestry in Genengan Village, Pakisaji District, Malang Regency. The research was carried out in September 2024 at both locations, using the plot survey method. The traps used include a 1.5 L bottle trap filled with 96% ethanol attractant, soapy water and solution, as well as a yellow pan trap. Traps were installed on 18 trees in each location, community forest and complex agroforestry, with sampling carried out three times a week, repeated nine times over three weeks. In addition, data on abiotic factors such as air temperature and humidity were also taken three times a day (morning, afternoon, evening). Data analysis was carried out using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index, Simpson dominance, Pielou evenness, T-test, richness, Sorensen similarity, and Pearson correlation. The total number of insect genera found in both locations was 31 genera, in the community forest there were 240 individual insects in 18 genera, while in the complex agroforestry there were 419 individual insects from 27 genera. Pearson correlation analysis showed that the Chilocorus genus in community forests had the highest negative correlation with air temperature, while Apis had the highest negative correlation with air humidity. The Endomychus genus in agroforestry land shows the highest positive correlation with air temperature, while Tipula has the highest negative correlation with air temperature. The genus Xyleborus showed the highest negative correlation with air humidity, while Phaeogenes had the highest positive correlation with air humidity. The highest percentage of insects in community forests are herbivores, while the highest percentage in complex agroforests are predators.
