Abstract

Luka iris merupakan jenis luak yang sering dijumpai pada kehidupan sehari hari. Luka jenis ini juga membutuhkan perawatan dalam proses penyembuhannya baik secara modern atau tradisional salah satunya yaitu gel topikal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan gel topikal dengan kandungan mentol, euchalyptus oil, dan vaselin dalam penyembuhan luka iris. Metodologi penulisan yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimental with non-equivalent control group pretest–posttest designs. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah seseorang yang memiliki luka iris. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar kuesioner Bates-jensen Wound Assesment Tool (BJWAT) dan informed consent. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan didapatkan bahwa terdapat penurunan signifikan skor luka berdasarkan kuesioner BJWAT pada luka intervensi yang diberi gel topikal gel topikal dengan kandungan mentol, euchalyptus oil, dan vaselin dengan skor awal 21 turun menjadi 9. bahwa luka yang diberi intervensi proses penyembuhannya lebih baik dan lebih maksimal daripada luka control yang tidak diberi intervensi. Perbandingan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian yaitu adanya perbedaan hasil seperti jenis bagian tubuh yang terluka, warna kulit sekitar luka, dan pengelupasan pada luka. Dengan demikian perlunya dilakukan uji awal pada hewan coba dengan dasar hasil penelitian ini, dan pengukuran secara molekuler untuk memastikan proses penyembuhan luka yang tidak hanya secara morfologinya agar hasilnya lebih signifikan.

English Abstract

Iris wounds are a type of badger that is often encountered in daily life. This type of wound also requires treatment in the healing process either modern or traditional, one of which is topical gel. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using topical gels containing menthol, euchalyptus oil, and vaseline in healing iris wounds. The writing methodology used is a quasiexperimental method with non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest designs. The respondent of this study is someone who has an iris wound. The research instrument used in this study was the Bates-jensen Wound Assessment Tool (BJWAT) questionnaire sheet and informed consent. The results of this study showed that there was a significant decrease in wound scores based on the BJWAT questionnaire on intervention wounds that were given topical gel topical gel with menthol, euchalyptus oil, and vaseline content with an initial score of 21 down to 9. that the wound given the intervention healing process is better and more optimal than the control wound that was not given the intervention. The comparison found in the study is that there are differences in results such as the type of body part injured, the color of the skin around the wound, and the peeling of the wound. Thus, it is necessary to conduct preliminary tests on experimental animals based on the results of this study, and
