Abstract

Salah satu perilaku berisiko yang umum dilakukan oleh remaja adalah merokok. Lingkungan sosial remaja sangat mempengaruhi kebiasaan merokok dikalangan remaja hal ini dikarenakan lingkungan sosial berperan penting dalam membentuk identitas, perilaku serta pengalaman sosial remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara lingkungan sosial dengan perilaku merokok di Wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wukir Kecamatan Elar Selatan Kabupaten Manggarai Timur Propinsi NTT. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan desain deskriptif Cross sectional. Responden penelitian ini berjumlah 156 siswa dari 4 SMP yang berada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wukir. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrument penelitian yang terdiri dari 2 kuesioner baku. Kuesioner Lingkungan sosial di adaptasi dari penelitian Wijayanthi Sutha yang terdiri dari 24 pertanyaan dan kuesioner periladari Global Youth Tobbacco Survey (GYTS) tahun 2006. Kedua kuesioner ini kemudian dimodifikasi dan diuji validitas dan realibilitasnya oleh peneliti. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman Rank menunjukkan p-Value 0,003 dengan koefisien korelasi -,238. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan sosial dengan perilaku merokok pada remaja dengan arah korelasi negative atau berlawanan dimana pengaruh lingkungan sosial yang tinggi dapat menurunkan tingkat perilaku merokok dikalangan remaja. Implementasi keperawatan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti adalah dengan memberikan edukasi secara aktif lewat penyuluhan atau media sosial.

English Abstract

One of the risky behaviors commonly carried out by teenagers is smoking. The social environment of adolescents greatly influences smoking habits among adolescents. This is because the social environment plays an important role in shaping the identity, behavior and social experiences of adolescents. This study aims to determine the relationship between the social environment and smoking behavior in the Wukir Health Center working area, South Elar District, East Manggarai Regency, NTT Province. This quantitative research uses a crosssectional descriptive design. The respondents for this research were 156 students from 4 junior high schools in the working area of the Wukir Community Health Center. Data collection was carried out using a research instrument consisting of 2 standard questionnaires. The Social Environment Questionnaire was adapted from Wijayanthi Sutha's research which consisted of 24 questions and a behavioral questionnaire from the 2006 Global Youth Tobbacco Survey (GYTS). These two questionnaires were then modified and tested for validity and reliability by the researcher. The results of the Spearman Rank correlation test show a p-Value of 0.003 with a correlation coefficient of -.238. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the social environment and smoking behavior in adolescents with a negative or opposite correlation direction where the influence of a high social environment can reduce the level of smoking behavior among adolescents. The implementation of nursing carried out by researchers is by providing active education through counseling or social media.
