Abstract

Guru perempuan sekolah dasar memiliki berbagai peran termasuk sebagai pendidik dan tanggung jawab rumah tangga yang dapat dijalankan secara bersamaan. Peran tersebut berpotensi mempengaruhi persepsi terhadap kualitas hidup serta emosi yang dirasakan atau sering disebut sebagai subjective well-being. Peningkatan kualitas hidup guru perempuan sekolah dasar dapat dicapai dengan memiliki work-life balance. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara work-life balance dan subjective well-being pada guru perempuan sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Responden dalam penelitian ini guru perempuan sekolah dasar yang kemudian akan diambil sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria aktif bekerja sebagai guru sekolah dasar, telah menikah, dan memiliki anak. Diperoleh minimal 84 responden berdasarkan analisis G*Power. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur work-life balance yaitu work-life balance scale (WLBS) dan untuk mengukur subjective well-being menggunakan SWLS (The Satisfaction With Life Scale) serta Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa pearson correlation product moment dengan bantuan software SPSS for windows. Hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan korelasi positif yang signifikan antara work-life balance dan positive affect, work-life balance dan negative affect, serta work-life balance dan cognitive evaluation sebagai aspek dari subjective well-being pada guru perempuan sekolah dasar. Implikasi dari penelitian ini bahwa perlunya integrasi kebijakan work-life balance dalam lingkungan sekolah dasar guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan subjektif guru perempuan.

English Abstract

Woman teachers have various roles, including as educators and household responsibilities that can be carried out simultaneously. This role influences the perception of quality of life and the emotions felt or often referred to as subjective well-being. Work-life balance is an effort by woman teachers to achieve a balanced quality of life. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between work-life balance and subjective well-being in female elementary school teachers. This research is a correlational quantitative research. The respondents in this study were woman elementary school teachers who would then be sampled using the purposive sampling technique with the criteria of actively working as elementary school teachers, being married and having children. A minimum of 84 respondents were obtained based on G*Power analysis. Data collection was carried out by sharing the questionnaire link using Google Form with respondents online. The measuring tool used to measure work-life balance is the work-life balance scale (WLBS) and to measure subjective well-being using SWLS (The Satisfaction With Life Scale) and Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). The data analysis technique used is Pearson product moment correlation with the help of SPSS for Windows software. The research results show a significant positive correlation between work-life balance and positive affect, work-life balance and negative affect, as well as work-life balance and cognitive evaluation as aspects of subjective well-being in female elementary school teachers. The implication of this research is that there is a need to integrate work-life balance policies in the elementary school environment to improve the subjective well-being of female teachers.
