Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui reaksi pasar modal ketika adanya pengumuman OJK mengatur dividen bank pada saham sektor perbankan, yang diukur dengan abnormal return dan trading volume activity. Penelitian ini merupakan event study dengan periode pengamatan selama 7 hari kerja bursa yaitu tiga hari sebelum (t-3), event date (t0), dan tiga hari sesudah peristiwa (t+3). Sampel Penelitian adalah perusahaan sektor perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dengan kategori KMBI 4. Hasil dari penilitian ini adalah tidak terdapatnya beda rata – rata variable abnormal return dan juga trading volume activity yang berarti tidak adanya reaksi pasar yang terjadi. Hal ini bisa diakibatkan karena kurangnya informasi yang dapat diserap atau bocornya informasi ke publik sebelum hari dimana OJK merilis pegnumuman tersebut.
English Abstract
This research aims to determine the reaction of the capital market when the OJK announced that it regulates bank dividends on banking sector shares, as measured by abnormal returns and trading volume activity. This research is an event study with an observation period of 7 trading days, namely three days before (t-3), event date (t0), and three days after the event (t+3). The research sample is a banking sector company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with KMBI category 4. The results of this research are that there is no difference in the average abnormal return variable and also trading volume activity, which means that there is no market reaction that occurs. This could be due to a lack of information that can be absorbed or information being leaked to the public before the day the OJK releases the announcement. ABSTRAK:
