Abstract

Kota Surabaya merupakan salah satu kota dengan angka kendaraan bermotor tertinggi di Indonesia. Grafik menunjukkan bahwa angka ini akan terus meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan jumlah penduduk di kota Surabaya. Peningkatan ini akan berdampak pada kemacetan lalu lintas, peningkatan angka kecelakaan lalu lintas, penurunan produktivitas akibat waktu tempuh kendaraan, hingga permasalahan lingkungan akibat penggunaan bahan bakar kendaraan. Untuk merespons permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut diperlukan fasilitas yang mampu menampung moda transportasi publik yang tersedia di kota Surabaya agar masyarakat beralih menggunakan moda transportasi publik dibandingkan moda transportasi pribadi. Dalam perancangan fasilitas tersebut perlu mempertimbangkan sisi integrasi, kepraktisan, efisiensi, dan ketersediaan moda transportasi publik di tapak yang dipilih. Transport hub sebagai fasilitas penunjang moda transportasi publik yang didalamnya dapat mewadahi tiga moda transportasi yang ada di kota Surabaya yaitu Suroboyo Bus, Wira-Wiri Suroboyo, dan commuter line. Keberadaan transport hub diharapkan dapat mempermudah akses masyarakat menuju moda transportasi publik karena praktis, efisien, dan terjangkau sehingga laju grafik peningkatan kendaraaan bermotor dapat berkurang dan dampaknya dapat diminimalkan. Perancangan transport hub menggunakan paradigma empirisisme melalui tahap studi literatur dan observasi objek penyusun transport hub. Tahapan tersebut menghasilkan desain transport hub yang memiliki sirkulasi penumpang dan sirkulasi kendaraan yang terintegrasi, efektif, mudah dijangkau, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dari berbagai kalangan masyarakat. Fasilitas ini menjadi fasilitas penunjang tiga moda transportasi publik yang mendukung mobilisasi penumpang dari satu tempat ke tempat lainnya di kota Surabaya.

English Abstract

The city of Surabaya is one of the cities with the highest number of motorized vehicles in Indonesia. The graph shows that this figure will continue to increase along with the increase in population in the city of Surabaya. This increase will have an impact on traffic congestion, an increase in the number of traffic accidents, a decrease in productivity due to vehicle travel time, and environmental problems due to vehicle fuel use. To respond to these problems, facilities are needed that can accommodate the public transportation modes available in the city of Surabaya so that people switch to using public transportation modes compared to private transportation modes. In designing these facilities, it is necessary to consider integration, practicality, efficiency and the availability of public transportation modes at the selected site. Transport hub is a supporting facility for public transportation modes which can accommodate three modes of transportation in the city of Surabaya, namely Suroboyo Bus, Wira-Wiri Suroboyo, and commuter line. The existence of transport hubs is expected to facilitate public access to public transportation modes because they are practical, efficient and affordable so that the graphical rate of increase in motorized vehicles can be reduced and the impact can be minimized. Transport hub design uses an empiricist paradigm through the stages of literature study and observation of the objects that make up the transport hub. These stages result in a transport hub design that has passenger circulation and vehicle circulation that is integrated, effective, easy to reach, and in accordance with the needs of users from various levels of society. This facility is a supporting facility for three modes of public transportation that supports the mobilization of passengers from one place to another in the city of Surabaya.
