Putri, Chintya Ardenia and Selly Dian, S.Psi., M.Psi (2024) SIKAP PEKERJA NON-DISABILITAS TERHADAP TENAGA KERJA DISABILITAS BERDASARKAN JENIS KELAMIN DAN TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Workers with disabilities do not have a fully inclusive work environment with most barriers caused by non-disabled workers attitudes towards them. Attitudes towards people with disabilities can be influenced by demographic factors such as gender and education level. Therefore, this study aims to know differences in non-disabled workers attitudes towards disability workforce according to gender and education level. This study is comparative quantitative study. The participants of this study were nondisabled workers in an institution or companies that have employed disability workforce with a sample size of 123 respondents. Attitude towards disability workforce were measured using the Attitude Toward Disabled Person (ATDP) Form A scale which has been adapted into Indonesian language. The sampling technique used was quota sampling to ensure that the number of respondents in each group can be proportional. The results of hypothesis testing using the Two-Way ANOVA test show that non-disabled workers attitudes towards disability workforce do not differ based on gender and education level. Another finding in this study is that respondents in this study tend to show a negative attitude towards disability workforce. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that companies, organizations, and educational institutions can develop training or education programs to improve attitudes towards people with disabilities.
