Galuh Pavita Sari and Yuliezar Perwira Dara,, S.Psi., M.Psi (2024) PERAN STUDENT-TEACHER RELATIONSHIP TERHADAP EFIKASI DIRI PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN KARIR SISWA SMA. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
High school students' career development is in a period of exploration, during which time students will think about various alternative career options. Based on the education curriculum in Indonesia, high school students are prepared to be able to make career decisions. However, until now we still often encounter the phenomenon of high school students in Indonesia who are still unsure about making career decisions. The lower a student's self-efficacy, the more doubtful he or she will be. Students' perceptions of good relationships with their teachers can be a source of increased self-efficacy. This research aims to determine the role of student-teacher relationships on career decision-making self-efficacy of high school students in Indonesia using quantitative correlational methods. The sample in this study consisted of 221 upper secondary students or equivalent who were collected using accidental sampling techniques. The measuring instrument used is the Teacher Student Relationship Inventory scale based on student perceptions (S-TSRI) scale to measure student-teacher relationships and the Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE) scale for career decision making self-efficacy. The statistical analysis technique in testing this research hypothesis uses simple linear regression and the results show that student-teacher relationships have a positive role in career decision-making self-efficacy in upper secondary students. Support, motivation and guidance from teachers can help students feel more confident in their abilities, including making informed career decisions that suit their interests and abilities.
