Abstract
Kotagede ini merupakan kawasan yang mencerminkan kekayaan budaya dan sejarah yang melimpah dalam wilayah ini. Kota Gede, dengan sejarahnya yang kaya sebagai pusat kerajaan Mataram Islam pada abad ke-16, adalah salah satu peninggalan berharga Indonesia. Di tengah laju modernisasi, memahami dan mempertahankan elemen-elemen tradisional seperti arsitektur rumah adat joglo menjadi sangat penting. Perumusan masalah yang ada dalam penelitian ini merupakan tentang bagaimana tipologi arsitektur rumah joglo di kawasan Kotagede Yogyakarta. Perubahan zaman, urbanisasi, dan kebutuhan modern sering kali bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip arsitektur tradisional seperti rumah joglo. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya upaya pelestarian, klasifikasi dan pemeliharaan. Penelitian ini sangat penting untuk mencatat dan mempertahankan pengetahuan tentang arsitektur rumah Joglo. Meskipun rumah Joglo memiliki nilai sejarah dan budaya yang signifikan, masih sangat sedikit dokumentasi dan penelitian akademis yang menyeluruh tentang gaya arsitektur ini dengan memberikan analisis mendalam dan sistematis tentang ciri-ciri arsitektur rumah Joglo di Kotagede. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk Menerapkan teori sistem spasial, sistem fisik, dan sistem stilistik untuk mendapatkan tipologi arsitektur rumah joglo yang ada pada kawasan Kotagede Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tiga elemen yang dapat diamati dalam arsitektur rumah joglo yaitu sistem spasial mencangkup orientasi, pola ruang bangunan, dan hierarki bangunan. Konfigurasi fisik mencakup wujud fisik, material, dan pembatas ruang pada bangunan, sedangkan sistem stilistik mencakup kolom, atap, dan bukaan pada bangunan joglo. Keistimewaan rumah joglo juga terlihat melalui serangkaian prinsip yang membentuk pondasi bangunannya, termasuk bentuk Kompleksitas pola ruang dalam arsitektur Jawa muncul melalui penerapan prinsip-prinsip khusus dalam pengaturan dan penataan ruang serta menambahkan dimensi artistik dan fungsional.
English Abstract
Kotagede is an area that reflects the abundant cultural and historical riches in this region. Kota Gede, with its rich history as the center of the Islamic Mataram kingdom in the 16th century, is one of Indonesia's treasured heritage. In the midst of the pace of modernization, understanding and maintaining traditional elements such as the architecture of traditional Joglo houses has become very important. The formulation of the problem in this research is about the architectural typology of Joglo houses in the Kotagede Yogyakarta area. Changing times, urbanization and modern needs often conflict with traditional architectural principles such as Joglo houses. Therefore, there is a need for preservation, classification and maintenance efforts. This research is very important to record and maintain knowledge about Joglo house architecture. Even though Joglo houses have significant historical and cultural value, there is still very little thorough documentation and academic research on this architectural style by providing an in-depth and systematic analysis of the architectural characteristics of Joglo houses in Kotagede. The aim of this research is to apply the theory of spatial systems, physical systems and stylistic systems to obtain a typology of Joglo house architecture in the Kotagede Yogyakarta area. This research aims to identify three elements that can be observed in Joglo house architecture. The spatial system including orientation, building space patterns, and building hierarchy. The physical configuration includes the physical form, materials and space boundaries of the building, while the stylistic system includes columns, roofs and openings in the Joglo building. The special features of the Joglo house can also be seen through a series of principles that form the foundation of the building, including the form. The complexity of spatial patterns in Javanese architecture emerges through the application of special principles in organizing and arranging space as well as adding artistic and functional dimensions.
