Abstract
Delivery box adalah sebuah tempat untuk menyimpan dan mengantarkan pesanan customer ke tempat yang dituju. Pada penelitian ini hanya berfokus pada delivery box usaha kuliner yang ada di Kota Malang. Dimana setelah melakukan observasi terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang terjadi pada produk delivery box saat ini seperti box yang tidak memiliki pegangan sehingga dapat mempersulit user untuk memindahkan box tersebut dan jenis material yang digunakan masih kurang kuat sehingga dapat berpengaruh pada pesanan yang diantarkan kepada customer. Untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan lebih dalam, maka dilakukan survei pendahuluan dengan penyebaran kuesioner terbuka sebanyak 30 responden yang ada di Kota Malang seperti kurir, pemilik delivery box, pihak managemen usaha kuliner dan customer yang sering menggunakan jasa delivery order. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner tersebut didapatkan beberapa permasalahan seperti volume box yang masih kecil sehingga tidak dapat menampung banyak pesanan customer sebanyak 24,14%, box tidak tahan lama sebanyak 18,97%, makanan yang ada di dalamnya sering berantakan sebanyak 12,07%, box tidak memiliki pegangan box sebanyak 10,34%, makanan terdapat di dalam box cepat dingin sebesar 8,62%, dan permasalahan lainnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan perancangan ulang delivery box yang sesuai dengan keinginan customer saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Quality Function Deployment merupakan metode perencanaan dan pengembangan produk secara terstruktur yang memungkinkan tim pengembang untuk menentukan keinginan dan kebutuhan pelanggan dengan jelas lalu mengevaluasi produk atau melayani dengan kemampuan yang secara sistematik dalam pemenuhan keinginan pelanggan tersebut. Tahapan dari QFD adalah melakukan identifikasi peluang, identifikasi kebutuhan pelanggan, kemudian penetapan spesifikasi produk yaitu pembuatan House of Quality (HOQ), pengembangan konsep, pemilihan konsep, pengujian konsep, arsitektur produk, desain industri, dan pembuatan prototype. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah konsep baru dari produk delivery box dengan spesifikasi akhir berukuran 84cm x 59cm x 61cm dimana memiliki bentuk box yang agak melengkung. Jenis material luar box terbuat dari epoxyglass, lapisan tengah box terbuat dari styrofoam, sedangkan lapisan dalam box terbuat dari aluminium. Delivery box dilengkapi dengan pegangan box berbentuk setengah lingkaran berbahan plastik yang memiliki diameter sebesar 2,5 cm dan panjang sebesar 14 cm. Kemudian delivery box dilengkapi dengan rak/sekat box yang dapat dibongkar pasang dengan ukuran 84cm x 59cm. Selain itu, box dilengkapi elemen pemanas yang disambungkan ke aki motor. Elemen tersebut akan menyala pada saat motor dinyalakan sehingga pesanan customer akan tetap hangat pada saat diterima oleh customer. Box dilengkapi fitur tambahan berupa lampu otomatis dan pengunci box untuk menjaga keamanan pesanan customer.
English Abstract
Delivery box is a place to store and help delivering customer orders to the destination. This study only focused on the delivery box in culinary business in Malang. After observing, there were some problems that occurred in delivery box design, such as there was no grip so it could be difficult for users when they wanted to move it and the type of material used was still not strong enough which affected customers’ orders. To identify deeper problems, a preliminary survey with open questionnaires were distributed to 30 respondents in Malang City such as couriers, delivery box owners, culinary management and customers who periodically used delivery order service. Based on the results of the questionnaire obtained, there were some problems. 24.14% of the problem was that the volume of box was quite small so it could not accommodate many customers’ orders, 18.97% shows that the box was not durable, the food often fell apart as much as 12.07%, the box did not have a handle or grip of 10.34%, food could not stay warm of 8.62%, and many other problems. The purpose of this study was to redesign the delivery box in meeting all of the wishes of the customers at the moment. This study used a method of Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Quality Function Deployment is a method of structured product planning and development that enables the research and development team to determine the wants and needs clearly and then evaluate the product systematically in the fulfillment of the customers’ wishes. Phases of QFD is to identify opportunities, identify customer needs, then determine product specification by making House of Quality, concept development, concept selection, concept testing, product architecture, industrial design, and prototyping. The result of this study was a new concept of delivery box product with the dimensions of 84cm x 59cm x 61cm which had a slightly curved shape. Type of outer material of the box was made of epoxy glass, the middle layer was made of styrofoam, while the inner layer was made of aluminum. Delivery box was equipped with a plastic handle which was semicircular and had a diameter of 2.5 centimeters and a length of 14 cm. The delivery box was equipped with a rack / bulkhead box that could be assembled with a size of 84cm x 59cm. In addition, box was equipped with a round heating element. The heating element was located under the aluminum layer and connected to the motor battery. The elements would turn on when the motor was turned on so that customer orders would remain warm when the orders were received by the customer. The delivery box had additional features such as 4 automatic lights and lock on the front door of the box to maintain the security of customers’ orders.
