Abstract

Pendidikan ialah faktor penting yang tidak dapat diabaikan dalam proses kemajuan negara. Indikator utama untuk peningkatan kualitas pendidikan ini adalah melalui prestasi hasil belajar. Student engagement menjadi salah satu faktor yang sangat penting dalam proses mencapai prestasi hasil belajar tersebut. Pertanyaan mendasar yang menjadi rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah sejauh mana tingkat keterlibatan siswa (student engagement) memiliki hubungan dengan prestasi hasil belajar yang didapatkan siswa sehingga memberikan peranan besar dalam penentuan dan pengembangan model dan strategi pembelajaran yang akan digunakan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMKN 2 Malang dengan fokus penelitian pada siswa jurusan Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan yang telah menyelesaikan mata pelajaran Informatika dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survei deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan survei kuesioner kepada 140 siswa TKJ sebagai responden. Pada penelitian ini, uji hipotesis dilakukan melalui analisis korelasi berganda dilanjutkan dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil uji korelasi berganda secara parsial dan silmultan menunjukkan setiap aspek behavioral, emotional dan cognitive engagement memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan prestasi hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui nilai korelasi (nilai r) lebih besar dari r tabel dan nilai sig. yang diperoleh. Tingkat keeratan hubungan antar variabel dikategorikan memiliki tingkat hubungan rendah, dan besarnya kontribusi ketiga aspek student engagement sebesar 16%, dalam memprediksi atau menjelaskan perubahan atau besarnya varians yang terjadi pada prestasi hasil belajar. Hasil persamaan regresi linear pada penelitian menunjukkan besarnya koefisien regresi setiap variabel behavioral, emotional serta cognitive engagement yang menunjukkan hubungan positif antara prestasi hasil belajar siswa dengan ketiga aspek student engagement. Ketika skor setiap variabel tersebut ditingkatkan, maka hubungan positif ditemukan yaitu prestasi hasil belajar siswa meningkat juga.

English Abstract

Education is an important factor that cannot be ignored in the process of a country's progress. The main indicator for improving the quality of education is through learning achievement. Student involvement is a very important factor in the process of achieving these learning outcomes. The fundamental question that is the formulation of the problem in this research is the extent to which the level of student engagement is related to the learning outcomes obtained by students so that it plays a big role in determining and developing the learning models and strategies that will be used. This research was carried out at SMKN 2 Malang with a research focus on students majoring in Computer and Network Engineering has completed the Informatics subject with the Problem Based Learning learning model. The research method applied is a quantitative method with a descriptive survey research type. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire survey with 140 TKJ students as respondents. In this research, hypothesis testing was carried out through multiple correlation analysis followed by multiple linear regression. The results of partial and simultaneous multiple correlation tests show that each behavioral, emotional and cognitive aspect has a significant relationship with student learning achievement. This is shown by the correlation value (r value) being greater than the rt table and sig value. which is obtained. The level of close relationship between variables is categorized as having a low level of relationship, and the contribution of the three aspects of student engagement is 16%, in predicting or explaining changes or the amount of variance that occurs in learning achievement. The results of the linear regression equation in the research show the magnitude of the regression coefficient for each behavioral, emotional and cognitive engagement variable which shows a positive relationship between student achievement and the three aspects of student engagement. When the score for each variable is increased, a positive relationship is found, namely student achievement also increases.
