Abstract
Dalam kehidupan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan beberapa penyakit mudah ditularkan karena dalam satu sel narapidana berdekatan dan melakukan kontak secara langsung sehingga penting adanya penerapan personal hygiene untuk menjaga kesehatannya. Salah satu metode untuk menerapkan personal hygiene adalah melalui pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode lebih teratur dan terstruktur yaitu metode GROW Coaching Model. GROW sendiri adalah akronim dari Goal, Reality, Options, dan Will atau Wrap-up. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh GROW Coaching Model terhadap pengetahuan Personal Hygiene pada Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas I Malang. Metode yang digunakan adalah Quasy Experimental dengan model Pre-test dan Posttest with Control Group Design. Pemilihan sampel penelitian berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling dan didapatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 19 responden pada masing-masing kelompok kontrol dan intervensi sehingga total sampel adalah 38 responden. Responden diukur sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menggunakan kuesioner Pengetahuan Personal Hygiene. Intervensi yang diberikan berupa GROW Coaching Model yang dilakukan selama 3 minggu dalam 3 kali pertemuan pada kelompok intervensi dan edukasi personal hygiene yang dilakukan selama 1 kali pertemuan pada kelompok kontrol. Analisis statistic menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test dan Uji Mann Whitney dengan SPSS-25. Hasil uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test menunjukkan bahwa GROW Coaching Model berpengaruh (p�value=0.000) dengan pengetahuan personal hygiene. Hasil Mann Whitney menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan antara nilai pre-test (p-value=0.003) dan posttest (p-value=0.004) kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi pada pengetahuan personal hygiene. Kesimpulan penerapan GROW Coaching Model dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan personal hygiene di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas I Malan
English Abstract
In life in a correctional institution, several diseases are easily transmitted because prisoners are close together and have direct contact in one cell, so it is important to implement personal hygiene to maintain their health. One method for implementing personal hygiene is through health education with a more regular and structured method, namely the GROW Coaching Model method. GROW itself is an acronym for Goal, Reality, Options, and Will or Wrap-up. This research aims to determine the effect of the GROW Coaching Model on Personal Hygiene knowledge among correctional inmates at the Class I Malang Correctional Institution. The method used is Quasy Experimental with a Pre-test and Posttest with Control Group Design model. The research sample selection was based on a purposive sampling technique and the sample size was 19 respondents in each control and intervention group so that the total sample was 38 respondents. Respondents were measured before and after the intervention using the Personal Hygiene Knowledge questionnaire. The intervention provided was in the form of the GROW Coaching Model which was carried out for 3 weeks in 3 meetings in the intervention group and personal hygiene education which was carried out in 1 meeting in the control group. Statistical analysis used the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test and Mann Whitney Test with SPSS-25. The results of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test show that the GROW Coaching Model has an effect (p-value=0.000) on personal hygiene knowledge. The Mann Whitney results showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test (p�value=0.003) and post-test (p-value=0.004) scores of the control group and the intervention group on personal hygiene knowledge. Conclusion: The application of the GROW Coaching Model can increase personal hygiene knowledge in Class I Malang Correctional Institutions
