Abstract
Project-based learning dianggap berpotensi untuk menjadikan pengalaman belajar siswa lebih menarik. Penelitian lain banyak berfokus pada dampak dari penerapan project-based learning seperti peningkatan ketrampilan, hasil belajar siswa, dan pembuktian efektivitas project-based learning. Hasil observasi peneliti dan wawancara dengan guru menemukan bahwa terdapat respons siswa yang bervariasi pada pelaksanaan model pembelajaran project�based learning pada mata pelajaran informatika. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep yang berkaitan dengan model pembelajaran tersebut. Konsep-konsep yang ditemukan diharapkan dapat menjadi informasi berguna bagi guru tentang project-based learning yang telah dilaksanakan untuk menjadi bahan pengembangan strategi pembelajaran di masa yang akan datang dan melengkapi penelitian lainnya. Metode kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan data berupa wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara terhadap tiga informan siswa, setiap siswa memiliki perbedaan tingkat kemampuan kognitif. Hal tersebut dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk mendapatkan data yang bersifat komprehensif karena data didapat dari representasi siswa dengan tingkat kognitif yang berbeda. Observasi tidak terstruktur dilakukan saat kegiatan belajar mengajar berlangsung di kelas untuk melengkapi data yang diperoleh. Dokumentasi juga digunakan untuk semakin melengkapi data penelitian. Teknik triangulasi data diterapkan pada-data yang telah diperoleh untuk meningkatkan keabsahan data. Berdasarkan kegiatan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, ditemukan konsep-konsep sebagai berikut. Project-based learning dilaksanakan jika model pembelajaran tersebut memiliki relevansi materi dengan kegiatan internal sekolah dan kegiatan eksternal sekolah. Pelaksanaan project-based learning mengakibatkan terjadinya perilaku siswa yaitu siswa saling membantu, siswa bereksplorasi, siswa aktif bertanya ke guru, siswa dapat melakukan praktik langsung dan siswa lebih menyukai penugasan berkelompok. Perilaku-perilaku tersebut berpotensi memiliki beberapa manfaat pada siswa yaitu peningkatan ketrampilan teknis, peningkatan ketrampilan non teknis, dan peningkatan motivasi belajar. English Abstract
It is believed that project-based learning has the ability to make learning for students more engaging. Many other studies focus on the impacts of implementing project-based learning, such as improving skills, student learning outcomes, and proving the effectiveness of project-based learning. The results of researcher's observations and interviews with teacher found that there were varied student responses to the implementation of the project-based learning model in informatics subjects. Further research is needed to explore concepts related to this learning model. It is hoped that the concepts found will be useful information for teachers about project-based learning that has been implemented to become material for developing learning strategies in the future and complement other research. Qualitative methods were used in this research. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of semi-structured interviews, observation and documentation. This research involved interviews with three student informants, each student had a different level of cognitive ability. This was done as an effort to obtain comprehensive data because the data was obtained from representations of students with different cognitive levels. Unstructured observations were carried out when teaching and learning activities took place in the classroom to complete the data obtained. Documentation is also used to further complete research data. Data triangulation techniques are applied to the data that has been obtained to increase the validity of the data. Based on the research activities that have been carried out, the following concepts were found. Project-based learning is implemented if the learning model has material relevance to internal school activities and external school activities. The implementation of project-based learning results in student behavior, namely students help each other, students’ exploration, students actively ask the teacher, students can do direct practice and students prefer group assignments. These behaviors have the potential to have several benefits to students, namely increasing technical skills, increasing non-technical skills, and increasing learning motivation. The teacher is tasked with explaining the material, helping students, and checking student participation. Obstacles that have the potential to arise from the student side are facilities constraints as well as personal and social constraints.
