Abstract
Warga binaan pemasyarakatan (WBP) akibat statusnya sering kali dihadapkan pada pemikiran negatif seperti perasaan malu, ketakutan tidak dapat beradaptasi dan ketakutan pada stigma masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitar. Hal tersebut akan mempengaruhi Self Esteem WBP. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi Self Esteem adalah dukungan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Dukungan Keluarga Terhadap Self Esteem Warga binaan pemasyarakatan Kelas I Malang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan crosssectional yang melibatkan 96 responden warga binaan pemasyarakatan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk dukungan keluarga yakni kuesioner Perceived Social Support-Family (PSS-Fa) sedangkan untuk Self Esteem yakni kuesioner Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale yang telah teruji valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar dukungan keluarga pada WBP baik, dengan jumlah 80 responden (83.3%), sedangkan Self Esteem yang dimiliki mayoritas WBP di lapas kelas I Malang menunjukkan hasil tinggi dengan jumlah 94 responden (97.9%). hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga dengan Self Esteem dengan r = 0.383 (p value=0,00 < 0,05), kekuatan korelasi memiliki arah positif sehingga dapat diasumsikan bahwa semakin baik dukungan keluarga maka Self Esteem WBP semakin tinggi. Sarannya pihak Lapas dapat memperbanyak blok yang memiliki kegiatan positif untuk para WBP dan pihak lapas juga dapat memberikan tambahan konseling bagi WBP yang merasa Self Esteem pada kategori rendah.
English Abstract
Prisoners due to their status are often faced with negative thoughts such as feelings of shame, fear of not being able to adapt, and fear of the stigma of society and the surrounding environment. This will affect the self-esteem of prisoners. One of the factors that can affect Self-esteem is family support. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and self-esteem of prisoners in correctional institution Class I Malang. This research method uses cross-sectional involving 96 respondents of prisoners. The research instrument used for family support is the Perceived Social Support-Family (PSS-Fa) questionnaire while for Self Esteem is the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale questionnaire which has been tested valid and reliable. The results showed that most of the family support for prisoners was good, with 80 respondents (83.3%), while the self-esteem owned by the majority of prisoners in correctional institution class 1 Malang showed high results with 94 respondents (97.9%). The results of the Spearman correlation test showed that there is a significant relationship between family support and Self Esteem with r = 0.383 (p-value = 0.00 <0.05). The suggestion is that the prison can increase the number of blocks that have positive activities for the prisoners and the prison can also provide additional counseling for prisoners who feel Self Esteem in the low category
