Abstract

Media sosial di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan yang signifikan dengan 126,8 juta pengguna, yang mencakup 64,8% dari populasi dewasa. Popularitas media ini disebabkan oleh biaya yang rendah dan akses yang mudah, terutama bagi mereka yang berusia 25 hingga 49 tahun. Perkembangan yang cepat ini memberikan peluang bagi perusahaan teknologi untuk memperkenalkan platform baru, seperti Threads dari Meta, yang berfokus pada berbagi teks dan menawarkan alternatif untuk Twitter. Threads mencapai 100 juta pengguna dalam lima hari, meskipun mengalami penurunan pengguna aktif harian sebesar 82% hingga akhir Juli. Pada kuartal akhir 2023, jumlah pengguna Threads meningkat menjadi 130 juta. Hal ini menekankan pentingnya acceptance dalam adopsi aplikasi. Penelitian yang menggunakan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) menunjukkan bahwa perceived usefulness dan ease of use memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap acceptance, dengan perceived ease of use juga mempengaruhi perceived usefulness. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya bagi pengembang untuk terus berinovasi dan memahami perilaku pengguna untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan penggunaan aplikasi. Dengan demikian, untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna, pengembangan aplikasi harus memperhatikan perceived usefulness dan ease of use, serta terus berinovasi guna menjaga relevansi dan kepuasan pengguna

English Abstract

Social media in Indonesia has experienced significant growth with 126.8 million users, accounting for 64.8% of the adult population. The popularity of these media is due to low costs and easy access, especially for those aged 25 to 49. This rapid development provides opportunities for technology companies to introduce new platforms, such as Meta's Threads, which focuses on text sharing and offers an alternative to Twitter. Threads reached 100 million users in five days, although it experienced a decrease in daily active users by 82% by the end of July. By the end of the fourth quarter of 2023, the number of Threads users increased to 130 million. This highlights the importance of acceptance in app adoption. Research using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) shows that perceived usefulness and ease of use have a significant influence on acceptance, with perceived ease of use also affecting perceived usefulness. The findings indicate the importance for developers to continuously innovate and understand user behavior to improve the sustainability of app usage. Therefore, to enhance user experience, app development must consider perceived usefulness and ease of use, and continuously innovate to maintain relevance and user satisfaction
