Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pencapaian maksim kesopanan dan pelanggaran maksim kesopanan pada karakter Rena dari komik “Kosan 95!”. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah kalimat-kalimat yang diucapkan oleh karakter Rena yang mengandung penggunaan dan pelanggaran maksim kesopanan. Data dikumpulkan dari webtoon Kosan 95! Episode 1-51 yang diakses dari halaman web Line Webtoon. Data dianalisis menggunakan teori maksim kesopanan dari Leech (2014). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa karakter Rena mencapai 10 maksim kesopanan dan melanggar 4 maksim kesopanan

English Abstract

This research aims to explore the accomplishment of the politeness maxim and the violation of the politeness maxim on the character Rena from the “Kosan 95!” comic. This research was carried out using qualitative method. The data were sentences uttered by the character Rena which contain the use and violation of politeness maxim. The data were collected from the webtoon Kosan 95! Chapters 1-51 that accessed from the Line Webtoon web page. The data were analyzed using Leech's (2014) theory of politeness maxim. The result of the analysis showed that the character Rena accomplished 10 politeness maxims and violated 4 politeness maxims.
