Abstract
Penggunaan Video sebagai media pembelajaran sangat penting bagi siswa di era digital saat ini. Penyediaan video membantu siswa untuk belajar dan untuk guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran dan metode pembelajaran secara efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan video PowerPoint yang berisi materi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris kelas delapan untuk menyoroti dampak negatif era digital terhadap siswa dari latar belakang kurang mampu, termasuk berkurangnya pendapatan keluarga, terbatasnya akses terhadap sumber daya digital, dan tingginya biaya konektivitas internet. Sementara itu, untuk mengetahui pentingnya media video penelitian ini menyelidiki persepsi siswa tentang penggunaan video sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen dengan empat skala likert dan menggunakan SPSS untuk melanjutkan datanya. Hasilnya dijelaskan secara statistik dan terdapat 120 responden kelas VIII SMPN 10 Malang. Hasilnya video sangat mempengaruhi proses belajar siswa, namun sebagian siswa juga tidak memiliki anggaran yang memadai untuk menyediakan jaringan internet, namun hal ini bisa menjadi solusi dimana mereka dapat mengakses video tersebut saat berada di sekolah atau bersama teman lain yang dapat mengakses videonya
English Abstract
The use of Video as learning media is very important for learning in today's digital era. Providing videos help student to learn and for teachers to carry out learning activities and learning methods effectively. This study utilized PowerPoint video containing eighth grade English learning materials to highlight the negative impacts of the digital era on students from less privileged backgrounds, including reduced family income, limited access to digital resources, and high internet connectivity costs. Meanwhile, to find out the importance of video media this research investigates Students' perceptions about the use of video as learning media in English classes. This research used quantitative methods and uses a questionnaire as an instrument with four Likert scales and uses SPSS to continue the data. The results are explained in statistics and there are 120 respondents from the eighth grade of SMPN 10 Malang. The result is that video really influences the student learning process, but some students also do not have an adequate budget to provide an internet network, but this could be a solution where they can access the video while at school or with other friends who can access the video.
