Abstract
LINE dimanfaatkan para pelajar untuk mencurahkan isi hatinya melalui media sosial. Entah dalam kondisi buruk atau lebih baik. Media sosial selalu dekat dengan pembelajar masa kini Dan saat ini media sosial pendidikan raempunyai peran penting dalam pengajaran. Siswa harus mencari bahan ajar secara mandiri, dan mengcqakan tugas secara berkelompok. Untuk itu peneliti ingin mengetahui persepsi siswa dalam penggunaan LINE di kclas bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK N 1 Batu. Sasaran yang digunakan dalam penelman ini adalah siswa kelas 11, dengan populasi 380 siswa, sampelnya adalah 95 siswa jumsan perhotelan. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif (desain survei) dan kuesioncr sebagai instrumen penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pesan Line dapat memudahkan siswa memperolch materi pembelajaran secara mandiri. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa persepsi siswra dalam penggunaan aplikasi gans di kelas bahasa Inggris sangat membantu siswa. Ini membantu siswa mendapatkan kepercayaan diri dalam berbicara dan mengeluarkan pendapat. Selain itu, siswa SMK dapat termotivasi untuk belajar lebih mendalam melalui berbagai sumber yang terdapat di media sosial. Penelitian ini menyarankan kepada siswa SMK agar Line tidak hanya mengakses komunikasi terbuka terkait masalah pembelajaran bahasa Inggris tetapi juga memfasilitasi pembelajaran mandiri.
English Abstract
LINE was used by the students to pour out their hearts through social media. Whether in bad or better condition. Social media is always close to today's learners. In today’s education, social media has an important role in teaching. Students have to find the teaching materials independently and do the assignment in groups. For this reason, the researcher wants to know the perception of the students in the use of LINE in English classes. This research was conducted at SMK N 1 Batu. The target used in this research was grade 11 students, with a population of 380 students, the sampling is 95 students majoring in hospitality. This research methodology used a quantitative approach (survey design) and a questionnaire as the instrument of this research. The results of this study show that Line messages can facilitate students to gain learning materials independently. The researcher concluded that the perception of the student in the use of line apps in English classes is very helpful for the student. It helps students gain confidence in speaking and issuing opinions. Further, vocational students can get motivated more in dept learning through various resources found in social media. This study suggests to vocational students that Line not only accesses open communication related to English learning issues but also facilitates independent learning.
