Abstract
Industri furniture merupakan salah satu sektor industri yang berkembang di Indonesia. Sehingga perusahaan dituntut untuk meningkatkan daya saingnya dengan berfokus pada peningkatan peranan dan kontribusi teknologi. Selama ini perusahaan belum pernah melakukan pengukuran terhadap kecanggihan masing-masing komponen teknologinya padahal hal tersebut perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecanggihan teknologinya serta meningkatkan aspek teknologi yang dirasa memiliki tingkat kecanggihan yang rendah. Untuk mengukur seberapa besar kontribusi teknologi yang telah diterapkan dapat digunakan metode teknometrik. Metode teknometrik merupakan pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mengukur kontribusi dari empat komponen teknologi, yaitu technoware, humanware, infoware dan orgaware dalam suatu proses transformasi input menjadi output. Konsep dasar metode ini adalah menganalisa kekuatan dan kelemahan internal maupun eksternal perusahaan serta membuat rekomendasi perbaikan hingga dapat diambil tindakan manajemen yang sesuai dengan kondisi atau informasi yang diperoleh. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui komponen orgaware memberikan kontribusi terbesar dengan nilai kontribusi adalah 0.700, kemudian technoware dengan nilai kontribusi 0.643. Komponen humanware berada pada urutan ketiga dengan nilai kontribusi sebesar 0,632 dan infoware berada pada urutan terakhir dengan nilai kontribusi sebesar 0,567. Koefisien kontribusi teknologi di PT.XYZ adalah sebesar 0.640. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa tingkat kecanggihan teknologi di PT.XYZ mencapai tingkat baik.
English Abstract
Furniture industry is one of the growing industrial sectors in Indonesia. So that, the company is required to improve its competitiveness by focusing on increasing the role and contribution of technology. So far, the company has never made measurements on the sophistication of each component of the technology, but it is necessary to know the level of technological sophistication and improve the technological aspects that are perceived to have a low level of sophistication. To measure how much technology contribution has been applied can be used teknometrik method. Technometric method is an approach used to measure the contribution of four technological components, namely technoware, humanware, infoware and orgaware in a process of input transformation into output. The basic concept of this method is to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of internal and external companies and make recommendations for improvement to be taken management action in accordance with the conditions or information obtained. From the results of the study can be known that orgaware gives the largest contribution with the value of contribution is 0.700, then technoware with the value of 0.643 contribution. The humanware component is in third place with a contribution value of 0.632 and infoware is in the last order with a contribution value of 0.567. The coefficient of technology contribution in PT.XYZ is 0.640. This shows that the level of technological sophistication at PT.XYZ reaches a good level.
