Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini mengevaluasi penambahan Azolla microphylla dalam bentuk segar dosis 0,5, dan10% pada pakan bentuk pelet terhadap perfoma produksi dan morfologi ternak entok. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Peternakan Entok Paguyuban Peternak Mandiri Kademangan (PPMK) Kabupaten Blitar untuk pengambilan data lapang dan Laboratorium Sentral Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang serta Dinas Peternakan dan Perikanan Kabupaten Blitar untuk analisa proksimat pakan. Materi yang digunakan DOD 60 ekor yang dibeli dari pembibit entok wilayah Kabupaten Blitar. Metode penelitian pengamatan 1 menggunakan RAL yang terdiri atas 3 perlakuan dan 5 kali ulangan, dilakukan analisis ragam ANOVA dan ANCOVA dilanjutkan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan apabila data hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan nyata. Metode penelitian pengamatan 2 menggunakan ekperimental pengukuran entok usia 60 hari. Variabel penelitian pada pengamatan tahap pertama diantaranya bobot awal, bobot akhir, PBB, konsumsi pakan, FCR, efisiensi pakan, deplesi dan IOFC. Variabel pada tahap 2 yaitu BB, panjang paruh, lebar paruh, panjang kepala, lingkar kepala, panjang leher, lingkar leher, panjang sayap, panjang punggung, panjang dada, lebar dada, panjang shank, lingkar shank, dan lebar selaput. Hasil pengamatan pertama pemberian pelet sebagai pakan basal dengan penambahan Azolla microphylla segar pada ternak entok memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap efisiensi pakan dan IOFC (P>0,05), memberikan pengaruh berbeda nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi pakan kumulatif, konsumsi protein kasar, konsumsi serat kasar, bobot badan akhir, PBB, serta FCR. Hasil pengamatan kedua terkait morfologi, diantaranya korelasi lemah diantaranya lebar paruh (0,380), lebar kepala (0,087) panjang sayap (0,384), panjang shank (0,028), lingkar shank (0,008), dan lebar selaput (-0,111). Korelasi sedang panjang paruh (0,474), panjang kepala (0,502), panjang leher (0,465), dan lingkar leher (0,442). Nilai korelasi kuat panjang punggung (0,638), panjang dada (0,620) dan lebar dada (0,618). Kesimpulan penelitian ini pengaruh suplementasi 10% Azolla microphylla segar terhadap performa produksi merupakan perlakuan terbaik entok serta bagian tubuh yang termasuk dalam korelasi kuat dapat digunakan sebagai tolak ukur menentukan bobot badan entok
English Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the addition of Azolla microphylla in fresh form at doses of 0, 5, and 10% in peleted feed to the production performance and morphology of muscovy duck. This research was conducted at the Paguyuban Peternak Mandiri Kademangan (PPMK) Entok Farm in Blitar Regency for field data collection and the Central Laboratory of Muhammadiyah University of Malang and the Livestock and Fisheries Service Office of Blitar Regency for ration proximate analysis. The material used was 60 DOD purchased from entok breeders in Blitar District. The research method of observation 1 uses RAL consisting of 3 treatments and 5 replications, ANOVA and ANCOVA analysis of variance followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test if the research data shows differences. The research method of observation 2 uses experimental measurement of 60- day-old ducklings. The research variables in the first stage observation included feed consumption, final weight, PBB, FCR, feed efficiency and IOFC. Variables observed in stage 2 were BW, beak length, beak width, head length, head circumference, neck length, neck circumference, wing length, back length, chest length, chest width, shank length, shank circumference, and membrane width. The results of the first observation of giving pellets as basal feed with the addition of fresh Azolla microphylla to muscovy duck gave a very significant effect on initial feed efficiency and IOFC (P>0.05), giving a significantly different effect (P>0.05) on cumulative feed consumption, crude protein consumption, crude fiber consumption, final body weight, PBB, and FCR. The second observation related to morphology, including weak correlation or no correlation value including beak width (0.380), head width (0.087) wing length (0.384), shank length (0.028), shank circumference (0.008), and membrane width (-0.111). Correlations with moderate values of closeness included beak length (0.474), head length (0.502), neck length (0.465), and neck circumference (0.442). Strong correlation values included back length (0.638), chest length (0.620) and chest width (0.618). The conclusion of this study is that the effect of supplementation of 10% fresh Azolla microphylla on the best performance production of muscovy duck and body parts included in the strong correlation level can be used as a benchmark for estimating the body weight of ducks.
