Abstract
Perkembangan K-Pop memberikan pengaruh kepada penggemarnya, salah satunya adalah penggemar merasa mengenal figur idolanya secara intim, hal ini biasa disebut juga dengan interaksi parasosial. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya interaksi parasosial adalah kesepian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesepian dengan interaksi parasosial pada dewasa awal penggemar K-Pop. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah penggemar K-Pop berusia 18-25 tahun dan memiliki figur idola favorit sebanyak 240 responden. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3 dan Celebrity-Persona Parasocial Interaction Scale. Data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara kesepian dengan interaksi parasosial pada dewasa awal penggemar K-Pop. Adapun implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai sumber informasi terkait fenomena kesepian dan interaksi parasosial pada usia dewasa.
English Abstract
The development of K-Pop has had an influence on its fans, one of which is that fans feel like they know their idol figures intimately, this is also known as parasocial interaction. One of the causes of parasocial interactions is loneliness. This research aims to determine the relationship between loneliness and parasocial interactions in early adult K-Pop fans. This type of research is quantitative research with correlational methods. The respondents in this study were K-Pop fans aged 18-25 years and had a favorite idol figure of 240 respondents. Sampling used accidental sampling. The measuring instruments used were the UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3 and the Celebrity-Persona Parasocial Interaction Scale. Data were analyzed using product moment correlation. The research results show that there is no relationship between loneliness and parasocial interactions in early adult K-Pop fans. The implications of this study is as a source of information related to the phenomenon of loneliness and parasocial interactions in adulthood.
