Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kosa kata siswa penyandang disabilitas di ruang kelas integrasi. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di kelas dua integrasi SMP Diponegoro, Junrejo, Batu tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 6 siswa penyandang disabilitas, mereka adalah seorang siswa austis, dua siswa tuna rungu, dan tiga siswa tuna grahita ringan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Desain penelitian tindakan kelas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tidakan kelas kolaboratif yang mana peneliti bekerja sama dengan guru bahasa Inggris secara kolaboratif didalam kelas intergasi. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart’s, yang terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan dalam penguasaan kosa kata siswa penyandang disabilitas, hal itu dapat dilihat dari nilai siswa penyandang disabilitas. Data menunjukkan bahwa sebelum penggunaan flashcards dalam kelas pembelajaran kosakta, semua nilai siswa penyandang disabilitas adalah dibawah 75, dengan nilai terendah 50 dan yang tertinggi 70. Dari enam siswa penyandang disabilitas, tidak ada yang mencapai nilai KKM. Sementara itu, pada siklus pertama, dari enam siswa penyandang disabilitas 100% siswa mencapai nilai KKM. Dengan nilai terendah 80 dan nilai tertinggi 100. Dengan demikian kireteria kesuksesan telah dicapi. Dari data catatan lapangan, itu menunjukkan bahawa pendamping atau terapis mempunyai peran untuk untuk membantu guru mengontol dan mengondisaikan siswa penyandang disabilitas di dalam kelas integrasi. Itu bias disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini berhasil. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, Guru bahasa Inggris disarankan untuk membuat media visual di kelas integrasi. Selain itu, peneliti berharap kepada sekolah agar menyediakan pendamping atau terapis untuk membantu Guru dalam proses mengajar bahasa Inggris kepada siswa penyandang disabilitas.

English Abstract

The object of the research is improving students with disability vocabulary in integrated classroom. Thisresearch was conducted in the second grade at SMPDiponegoro, Junrejo, Batu in the academic year 2017/2018. The subject of this research were 6 students with disability, those areone autistic disorder student, two deaf studentsand three mild intellectual disability students who had low vocabulary mastery. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The classroom action research design applied in this study was a collaborative action research. It means that the researcher worked collaboratively with English teacher in the integrated classroom. Classroom Action Research was done based on Kemmis and Mc Taggart’s design, it contents of one cycle consists of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Based on the result of this research, it showed that there was development on the vocabulary mastery of the students with disability. It can be seen from the students’ scores. The data showed that before the implementation flashcards,the score of all students with disabilitywereunder 75, with the lowest score was 50 and thehighest score was 70. From six students with disability, no one passed the Standard Minimum Criteria (KKM). Therefore, in the cycle 1, from six students with disability 100 % passed Standard Minimum Criteria (KKM). The lowest score was 80 and the highest score was 100. So, the criteria of successes were achieved. Then, from the result of the field note, it showed that the volunteer or therapist has a ruleto help the teacher in controlling and conditioning the students with disability in integrated classroom. From all of the result above, it could be concluded that this research was successful. It is suggested to the English teachers tomake and create the visual media in teaching process especially in integrated classroom. Meanwhile, the researcher hopes that the school provides a volunteer or therapist to help the teacher in teaching English to the students with disability.
