Abstract
English Abstract
Fresh milk, which is pure milk with no additional treatment other than cooling, often experiences a decline in quality due to the addition of water by farmers to increase volume and profits. This quality degradation is difficult to detect visually and can reduce the nutritional value of the milk as well as lead to rejection by milk cooperatives. This study successfully developed a fresh milk density sensor using a load cell based on the STM32F401CCU6 Onboard. The sensor was designed using a Tronxy 3D printer with a height of 7.6 cm and equipped with a cylindrical resin weight that has a mass of 11.41 grams, a diameter of 2 cm, and a height of 2.8 cm. Calibration was conducted using NaCl solution and distilled water, resulting in a linear relationship between density and output voltage with the regression equation y = 31,0611x – 0,40407. Measurements of milk density with varying water concentrations showed that density decreases with increasing water concentration, approaching the density of water (1 g/mL). Data on density measurements at the principal post using a lactodensimeter and load cell showed an average error of 0.0076. This study's results follow Archimedes' principle, where the weight of an object submerged in a liquid decreases according to the volume of liquid displaced by the object. The more water added to the milk, the heavier the submerged object becomes because the liquid density decreases. This also causes the buoyant force and milk density to decrease.
