Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana peran penulis naskah dalam pembuatan musik video “Nothin ’More Than a Friend”. Penelitian ini berusaha menjabarkan bagaimana peran penulis naskah dalam musik video. Untuk melakukan penelitian ini, penulis mengggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi partisipan, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa penulisnaskah tidak hanya berperan sebagai penulis naskah saja tetapi juga memiliki peran lain, yaitu: (1) membuat karakter, (2) melakukan casting atau mencari talent, dan (3) menentukan shot list.

English Abstract

This research discusses the role of the script writer in making the music video "Nothin' More Than a Friend". This resear chat tempts to explain the role of the script writer in music videos. To conduct this research, the author used qualitative research methods with data collection techniques of participant observation, interviews and documentation. From the research results, it wasfound that scriptwriters not only act as scriptwriters but also haveother roles, namely: (1) creating characters, (2) casting or looking for talent,and (3) determining the shotlist.
