Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran editor video dalam produksi progam Agropolitan news di Agropolitan Televisi Kota Batu mulai dari tahap pra produksi, tahap produksi, hingga pasca produksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yang menghasilkan data penyajian berupa kata-kata dan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data, informasi, gambaran umum mengenai fenomenafenomena sosial atau kemanusiaan, serta teks dari pandangan-pandangan responden secara sistematis, akurat dan faktual. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam tugas akhir ini adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran editor video yang menangani progam berita Agropolitan News di Agropolitan Televisi Kota Batu lebih banyak terlibat pada tahapan pasca produksi. Pada tahapan tersebut editor video mengedit video berita dengan cara menengumpulkan dan mengecek seluruh bahan berita berupa naskah berita, video berita, dan audio narasi berita. Menggunakan software Adobe premiere kemudian editor video melakukan seleksi footage-footage berita, menyusun, menggabungkan, memotong video audio berita, hingga menyelaraskannya. Tidak lupa menambahkan box of text, transisi, efek blur jika terdapat hal yang bertentangan dengan regulasi penyiaran. Ketika seluruhnya selesai editor video melakukan exporting video berita dan menunjukkan hasil editing video berita kepada koordinator news untuk mendapat persetujuan penayangan.
English Abstract
This research aims to determine the role of video editors in the production of the Agropolitan news program at Agropolitan Televisi Batu City starting from the pre-production stage, production stage, to postproduction. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, which produces presentation data in the form of words and is carried out to obtain data, information, general descriptions of social or humanitarian phenomena, as well as texts from respondents' views in a systematic, accurate and factual manner. The data collection techniques used in this final assignment are interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the role of the video editor who handles the Agropolitan News news program at Agropolitan Televisi Batu City is more involved in the post-production stage. At this stage, the video editor edits the news video by collecting and checking all news materials in the form of news scripts, news videos and audio news narratives. Using Adobe Premiere software, the video editor then selects news footage, composes, combines, cuts news audio videos, and aligns them. Don't forget to add text boxes, transitions, blur effects if there are things that conflict with broadcasting regulations. When everything is finished, the video editor exports the news video and shows the results of the news video editing to the news coordinator to get approval for viewing.
