Abstract
Anak-anak adalah generasi penerus bangsa, sehingga pendidikan usia dini sangat penting untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan mereka. Small Tree Modern Islamic School di Kota Malang menyediakan layanan pendidikan anak usia dini seperti daycare, playgroup, dan TK. Namun, fasilitas yang ada saat ini kurang mendukung kegiatan belajar dan bermain anak secara maksimal. Desain interior ruang belajar dan bermain masih kurang menarik dan variatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, dan teknik analisa data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Setelah pra-penelitian, dilakukan perancangan ulang interior Small Tree School dengan konsep playful dan interaktif untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik anak. Konsep playful diterapkan melalui skema warna tetradik yang kontras dan elemen interior yang organis untuk menciptakan ruangan ceria dan stimulatif. Konsep interaktif diterapkan dengan dinding interaktif, furnitur modular, dan ilustrasi tematik pepohonan. Konsep ini diharapkan dapat mendukung proses pembelajaran secara optimal di Small Tree Modern Islamic School.
English Abstract
Children are the future generation of the nation, making early childhood education essential for their growth and development. Small Tree Modern Islamic School in Malang City provides early childhood education services such as daycare, playgroup, and kindergarten. However, the existing facilities are inadequate to support optimal learning and playing activities for children. The design of the learning and playing areas lacks variation and appeal. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, employing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. Following preliminary research, the interior of Small Tree School was redesigned with playful and interactive concepts to create an environment more suited to children's characteristics. The playful concept is implemented through contrasting tetradic color schemes and organic interior elements to create a cheerful and stimulating room. The interactive concept includes interactive walls, modular furniture, and thematic tree illustrations to encourage children as the primary users to explore and actively participate in the space. This concept aims to support optimal learning processes at Small Tree Modern Islamic School.
