Abstract
Kesehatan lingkungan merupakan hal yang penting untuk keberlangsungan hidup lansia. Pondok lansia merupakan sarana yang berperan dalam memberikan kelayakan hidup para lansia di Indonesia. Pada realitanya pondok lansia terdapat beberapa permasalahan, yang paling sering terjadi adalah kualitas lingkungan sekitar. Permasalahan ini muncul disebabkan oleh kebiasaan di dalam lingkungan kurang tepat. Kebiasaan pola kebersihan dan aktivitas ini berkaitan dengan kualitas lingkungan di pondok lansia. Seperti yang terjadi di Pondok Lansia Dinsos Kota Malang. Beberapa masalah yang terjadi adalah terdapat bangunan yang kurang sesuai kegunaan, kebersihan, sarana dan prasaranan penunjang aktivitas para lansia yang masih kurang maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan prinsip biophilic design yang akan memperbaiki kualitas lingkungan sekitar.
English Abstract
Environmental health is important for the survival of the elderly. Elderly cottages are a facility that plays a role in providing a decent life for the elderly in Indonesia. In reality, elderly cottages have several problems, the most common of which is the quality of the surrounding environment. This problem arises due to inappropriate habits in the environment. These habits of cleanliness and activity patterns are related to the quality of the environment in the elderly cottage. As happened at the Malang City Social Services Elderly Boarding House. Some of the problems that occur are that there are buildings that are not suitable for use, cleanliness, facilities and infrastructure to support the activities of the elderly are still not optimal. This research aims to apply biophilic design principles which will improve the quality of the surrounding environment.
