Abstract

Eritema merupakan respon tubuh dari terjadinya peradangan yang muncul pada proses penyembuhan luka bakar pertama kali. Solusi alternatif untuk mengobati luka bakar adalah dengan menggunakan ekstrak daun kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) yang mengandung senyawa kimia bermanfaat seperti saponin sebagai antimikroba serta flavonoid dan polifenol yang berfungsi sebagai antiradang dan dapat mengurangi salah satunya. Bagian tanaman kersen yang paling banyak kandungannya terdapat pada daunnya. Daun pada tumbuhan kersen mengandung flavonoid, tanin dan saponin yang memiliki potensi sebagai pengobatan luka bakar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun kersen (Muntingia Calabura) dalam sediaan spray gel terhadap eritema pada penyembuhan luka bakar derajat IIA pada tikus putih galur wistar (Rattus Norvegicus Strain Wistar). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling. Sampel yang digunakan sejumlah 25 tikus yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok penelitian, yaitu K(-) normal saline, K (+) basis spray gel, ekstrak daun kersen konsentrasi 12,5% (P1), 15% (P2), dan 17,5% (P3). Luka bakar dibuat di punggung hewan coba dan dirawat selama 5 hari. Hasil penurunan derajat eritema dianalisis menggunakan Corel Photopaint. Hasil pada riset berikut dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Hasil uji Kruskal Wallis didapatkan asymp. Sig. = 0.003 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh dari pemberian ekstrak daun kersen terhadap penurunan derajat eritema pada luka bakar secara signifikan. Hasil uji Mann Whitney menunjukkan bahwa antara kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan didapatkan asymp.Sig. (0.009) < α (0.05) sehingga terdapat perbedaan secara sugnifikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak daun kersen memiliki pengaruh terhadap penurunan derajat eritema luka bakar derajat IIA

English Abstract

Erythema is the body's response to inflammation that occurs during the first burn wound healing process. An alternative solution for treating burns is to use cherry leaf extract (Muntingia calabura L.) which contains beneficial chemical compounds such as saponins as antimicrobials as well as flavonoids and polyphenols which function as anti-inflammatories. The part of the cherry plant that has the most content is found in the leaves. The leaves of the cherry plant contain flavonoids, tannins and saponins which have potential as a treatment for burns. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of cherry leaf extract (Muntingia Calabura) in spray gel formulations on erythema in stage IIA burns in wistar strain white rats (Rattus Norvegicus Strain Wistar). The research method using simple random sampling. The sample used in this study are 25 mice which divided into 5 research groups, namely K(-) normal saline, K(+) spray gel base, cherry leaf extract 12.5% (P1), 15% (P2), and 17,5% (P3). Burn wounds were made on the backs of experimental animals and treated for 5 days. The results of reducing the degree of erythema were analyzed using Corel Photopaint. The results of the following research were analyzed using SPSS. The Kruskal Wallis test results obtained asymp. Sig. = 0.003, which means that there is an effect of administering cherry leaf extract on reducing the degree of erythema in burn wounds significantly. The results of the Mann Whitney test showed that between the control and treatment groups obtained asymp.Sig. (0.009) < α (0.05) so there is a significant difference. The conclusion of this research is that cherry leaf extract has an effect on reducing the degree of erythema of grade IIA burns.
