Abstract

ASI merupakan nutrisi yang diperlukan bayi selama 6 bulan pertama kehidupan dan dianjurkan hingga anak berusia 2 tahun. Namun, cakupan pemberian ASI ekslusif di Jawa Timur masih belum mencapai Renstra nasional. Padahal ASI memiliki manfaat yang baik untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan dan perkembangan motorik kasar. Perkembangan motorik kasar yang terlambat akan berdampak pada tahap perkembangan selanjutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan riwayat pemberian ASI ekslusif dengan perkembangan motorik kasar pada anak usia toddler. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif korelasional pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 42responden. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan KMS untuk variabel riwayat ASI dan DDST untuk variabel perkembangan motorik kasar Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa 71,4% ibu memberikan ASI ekslusif dan 81% toddler memiliki perkembangan motorik kasar normal. Uji analisis menggunakan Chi-Square didapatkan nilai p 0,018 (p<0,05) dengan Odds Ratio 6,429. Artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara hubungan riwayat pemberian ASI ekslusif dengan perkembangan motorik kasar pada anak usia toddler. Disarankan bagi institusi Kesehatan dapat lebih meningkatkan pemberian edukasi serta sosialisasi kepada masyarakat luas mengenai pentingnya pemberian ASI eksklusif dan perkembangan motorik

English Abstract

Breast milk is the nutrition that babies need during the first 6 months of life and is recommended until the child is 2 years old. However, coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in East Java has not yet reached the national strategic plan. Even though breast milk has good benefits for increasing intelligence and gross motor development. Delayed gross motor development will have an impact on the next stage of development. This study aims to determine the relationship between a history of exclusive breastfeeding and gross motor development in toddler-aged children. This research uses a descriptive correlational cross sectional approach. The sample in the research consisted of 42 respondents. Data collection was carried out using KMS for the breastfeeding history variable and DDST for the gross motor development variable. The results of the univariate analysis showed that 71.4% of mothers exclusively breastfed and 81% of toddlers had normal gross motor development. The analysis test uses Chi-Square obtained p value of 0.018 (p<0.05) with an Odds Ratio of 6.429. This means that there is a significant relationship between a history of exclusive breastfeeding and gross motor development in toddler-aged children. It is recommended that health institutions further increase the provision of education and outreach to the wider community regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding.
