Abstract
Gagal jantung merupakan kondisi abnormalitas dimana jantung mengalami kegagalan dalam memompa darah. Untuk mencegah pasien mengalami rehospitalisasi dibutuhkan peran caregiver keluarga untuk mampu melakukan dan meningkatkan self care di rumah. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan edukasi self care berbasis website. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi self care berbasis website terhadap kemampuan self care keluarga dalam merawat pasien gagal jantung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasy experiment dengan model pre test-post test control group design. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan membagi menjadi dua kelompok berdasarkan kriteria inklusi yaitu anggota keluarga yang tinggal bersama dan terlibat langsung dengan pasien serta diperoleh 22 responden kelompok kontrol dan 22 responden kelompok intervensi. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner Caregiver Contribution Self Care Heart Failure Index (CC-SCHFI). Setelah dilakukan intervensi selama satu bulan, data diuji menggunakan uji statistik paired t-test pada skor kemampuan self care keluarga kelompok intervensi diperoleh hasil bahwa edukasi self care berbasis website berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan self care keluarga (p value = 0,000<0,05; pre test 42,14+8,703 dan post test 57,59 6,808). Edukasi berbasis website dapat meningkatkan kemampuan self care keluarga lebih efektif dari edukasi menggunakan leaflet. Dengan demikian, website dapat digunakan sebagai media edukasi kesehatan untuk meningkatkan self care gagal jantung dan mencegah rehospitalisasi.
English Abstract
Heart failure is an abnormal condition where the heart fails to pump blood. To prevent patients from experiencing rehospitalization, the role of family caregivers is needed to be able to carry out and improve self-care at home. One of the efforts that can be made is by providing website-based self-care education. This study aims to determine the effect of website-based self-care education on family self-care abilities in caring for heart failure patients. The method used in this research is a quasi experiment with a pre test-post test control group design model. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique by dividing it into two groups based on inclusion criteria, namely family members who live together and are directly involved with the patient. There were 22 respondents in the control group and 22 respondents in the intervention group.. Data were collected using the Caregiver Contribution Self Care Heart Failure Index (CC-SCHFI) questionnaire. After the intervention was carried out for one month, the data was tested using a paired t-test statistical test on the intervention group's family self-care ability scores. The results showed that website-based self-care education had an effect on family self-care ability (p value = 0.000<0.05; pre test 42.14+8.703 and post test 57.59±6.808). Website-based education can improve family self-care abilities more effectively than education using leaflets. As a result, website can be used as a health education medium to improve selfcare for heart failure and to prevent rehospitalization.
