Abstract

Efikasi diri berperan dalam keyakinan individu terhadap kapasitas mereka untuk melaksanakan perilaku yang diperlukan guna mencapai kinerja tertentu, yang penting dalam pendidikan dan praktik keperawatan. Penerapan keselamatan pasien yang buruk dapat merugikan pasien serta pemberi perawatan. Tingkat penerapan keselamatan pasien dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah efikasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan efikasi diri dengan penerapan keselamatan pasien pada mahasiswa profesi ners. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional pada 4 universitas di Jawa Timur, dengan jumlah total sampel 96 responden. Instrumen efikasi diri yang digunakan adalah Clinical Practice SelfEfficacy Scale for nursing students (NCSES), dan Patient Safety Care Activity Scale For Clinical Nurses untuk menilai penerapan keselamatan pasien. Hasil analisis univariat didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki efikasi diri yang baik (53,1%) dan penerapan keselamatan pasien kategori baik (52,1%). Hasil analisis bivariat uji korelasi spearman rank diperoleh nilai p-value 0,00 dan nilai r hitung 0,485. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan penerapan keselamatan pasien, dan memiliki kekuatan hubungan sedang. Penting bagi mahasiswa untuk terus meningkatkan efikasi diri dan penerapan keselamatan pasien, serta bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk melakukan pengambilan responden dengan sampel yang lebih luas

English Abstract

Self-efficacy plays a role in an individual's belief in their capacity to carry out the behaviors necessary to achieve certain performance, which is important in nursing education and practice. Poor patient safety implementation can be detrimental to patients and care providers. The level of implementation of patient safety can be influenced by several factors, one of which is self-efficacy. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and the implementation of patient safety in nursing professional students. The research method used quantitative observational with a cross sectional design at 4 universities in East Java, with a total sample of 96 respondents. The self-efficacy instruments used were the Clinical Practice Self-Efficacy Scale for nursing students (NCSES), and the Patient Safety Care Activity Scale For Clinical Nurses to assess the implementation of patient safety. The results of the univariate analysis showed that the majority of respondents had good self-efficacy (53.1%) and the implementation of patient safety was in the good category (52.1%). The results of the bivariate analysis of the Spearman rank correlation test obtained a p-value of 0.00 and a calculated r value of 0.485. There is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and the implementation of patient safety, and the strength of the relationship is moderate. It is important for students to continue to improve their self-efficacy and application of patient safety, as well as for future researchers to take respondents with a wider sample.
