Abstract

Peningkatan aktivitas di hilir Sungai Rejoso akan menghasilkan limbah yang mencemari sungai. Daerah hilir Sungai Rejoso telah mengalami penurunan kualitas air akibat limbah kegiatan industri, rumah tangga, pertanian, dan perikanan. Pencemaran perairan dapat dilihat dari kondisi kualitas air dan organisme yang hidup di sungai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kualitas air dan status pencemaran, menganalisis kesehatan ikan melalui profil hematologi, dan pengaruh kualitas air bagi hematologi ikan keting (Mystus gulio). Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Desember 2023 - Februari 2024 di hilir Sungai Rejoso, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan teknik purposive sampling untuk menentukan lokasi penelitian. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali dengan selang waktu 1 bulan sekali. Parameter yang diamati terdiri dari suhu, kecepatan arus, TSS, pH, DO, COD, dan Pb. Hasil pengukuran parameter kualitas air dianalisis menggunakan metode indeks pencemaran untuk mengetahui status pencemaran. Pengamatan kesehatan ikan melalui profil hematologi (eritrosit, leukosit, hemoglobin, dan hematokrit), dan mikronuklei. Metode regresi linear sederhana digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas air terhadap hematologi ikan. Hasil penelitian kualitas air yaitu suhu berkisar antara 25,6 – 29,2℃, kecepatan arus berkisar 0,17 – 0,27 m/s, TSS berkisar 121 – 156 mg/L, pH berkisar 7,12 – 7,53, DO berkisar 5,22 – 6,77 mg/L, COD berkisar 29,98 – 43,48 mg/L, dan Pb berkisar 0,10 – 1,98 mg/L. Parameter yang tidak memenuhi standar baku mutu kelas III berdasarkan PP No 22 Tahun 2021 yakni TSS, COD, dan Pb. Hasil pengamatan profil hematologi ikan keting (Mystus gulio) di hilir Sungai Rejoso yaitu jumlah eritrosit berkisar 750.000 – 1.390.000 sel/mm3, jumlah leukosit berkisar 69.800 – 106.600 sel/mm3, kadar hemoglobin berkisar berkisar 4 – 7,4 g/dL, nilai hematokrit berkisar 15 – 24%, dan jumlah mikronuklei berkisar antara berkisar 14 – 40 sel/1000. Status pencemaran berdasarkan kualitas air di hilir Sungai Rejoso yakni tergolong ringan hingga sedang. Analisis regresi linear sederhana antara parameter kualitas air yang melebihi baku mutu dengan profil hematologi didapatkan parameter TSS tidak berpengaruh terhadap profil hematologi dan mikronuklei, parameter COD berpengaruh signifikan (Sig. <0.05) terhadap jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan nilai hematokrit, dan parameter Pb berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah eritrosit, jumlah leukosit, kadar hemoglobin, nilai hematokrit, dan jumlah mikronuklei. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan pada pemerintah, masyarakat, dan pemilik industri untuk meningkatkan perhatian dan melakukan pengelolaan limbah agar pencemaran sungai dapat dikurangi.

English Abstract

The increasing activities in Rejoso River downstream will produce waste that pollutes the river. The downstream area of the Rejoso River has experienced a declining water quality due to the waste from industrial, household, agricultural and fishery activities. Water pollution can be seen from the condition of the water quality and the organisms that live within the rivers. The aim of this research is to analyze water quality and pollution status, to analyze fish health through hematological profiles, and to determine the influence of water quality on the hematology of keting fish (Mystus gulio). The research was carried out between December 2023 - February 2024 in Rejoso River downstream, Pasuruan Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive with a purposive sampling technique to determine the research location. Samples were taken 3 times with an interval of 1 month. The parameters observed consisted of temperature, current speed, TSS, pH, DO, COD, and Pb. The results of measuring water quality parameters were analyzed using the pollution index method to determine pollution status. Observation of fish health through hematological profiles (erythrocytes, leukocytes, hemoglobin and hematocrit) and micronuclei. A simple linear regression method was used to determine the effect of water quality on fish hematology. The results of the water quality research are that the temperature ranges between 25,6 – 29,2℃, current speed ranges between 0,17 – 0,27 m/s, TSS ranges between 121 – 156 mg/L, pH ranges between 7,12 – 7,53, DO ranges between 5,22 – 6,77 mg/L, COD ranges between 29,98 – 43,48 mg/L, and Pb ranges between 0,10 – 1,98 mg/L. Parameters that exceed class III quality standards based on PP No. 22 of 2021 are TSS, COD and Pb. The results of observations of the hematological profile of keting fish (Mystus gulio) in Rejoso River downstream are that the number of erythrocytes ranges between 750.000 – 1.390.000 cells/mm3, number of leukocytes ranges between 69.800 – 106.600 cells/mm3, the hemoglobin level ranges between 4 – 7,4 g/dL, the value hematocrit ranges between 15 – 24%, and the number of micronuclei ranges from around 14 – 40 cells/1000. The pollution status based on water quality Rejoso River downstream is classified as light to moderate. Simple linear regression analysis between water quality parameters exceeding the quality standards and the hematological profile showed that the TSS parameter has no effect on the hematological profile and micronuclei. The COD parameter has a significant effect (Sig. <0.05) on the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels and hematocrit values. The Pb parameter has a significant effect on the number of erythrocytes, number of leukocytes, hemoglobin levels, hematocrit values, and number of micronuclei. Based on the result of the research, it is advised that the government, communities and industry owners to raise their caution and oversee waste management so that rivers pollution can be reduced.
