English Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the nutritional adequacy of beef cattle in Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency starting from feed formulation, digestibility in vitro and BCS. The research method used was through survey, observations and interviews with breeders to collect data. The types of forage given by breeders to beef cattle include rice grass, elephant grass, corn stalks, rice straw, slampers, sugar cane tops. The concentrate given was rice bran and pollard. The research results showed that the majority of feed formulations given were field grass and elephant grass. The average body condition score in the Plosoklaten area for beef cattle has an age range of 3-5 years with a body condition assessment ranging from 2.5-3.5. The highest Dry Matter Digestibility (DMD) value was obtained in the Native gras + Zea mays formulation, namely 58.43% and the highest Organic Matter Digestibility (OMD) in the Native gras + Zea mays formulation was 59.58%. Based on the results of the survey data, it can be concluded that the feed for beef cattle in Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency has met their nutritional needS.
