English Abstract

The productivity of sheep farming can be increased by one of the availability of resources covering lambs and feed. Therefore, the feed given must contain nutritional value that meets standards and sufficient quantities for livestock. The use of potential local feed ingredients can be a solution as animal feed by formulating feed to adjust the nutritional needs of livestock. This study aims to determine the effect of providing feed with different formulations on feed consumption and sheep blood profiles consisting of glucose, urea, hemoglobin and hematocrit levels in sheep. The study was conducted from August 2023 - December 2023 at PT Juara Agroniaga Sejaterah located in Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. The study used 180 local female sheep divided into 9 flocks. The research method used was data collection in the field and laboratory testing. Based on the data analysis, the data showed that the BK consumption value at P0 and P1 was 880.49 and 709 g/head/day, the BO consumption value at P0 and P1 was 736.03 - 634 g/head/day. Glucose levels P0 64.45 and P1 78.99. Blood urea levels P0 18.65 and P1 18.42. Hemoglobin P0 9.78 and P1 10.72. Hematocrit P0 33.91 and P1 32.98. The results of the study can be concluded that there is no significant difference (P> 0.05) in feed consumption, urea levels, hemoglobin and hematocrit, but glucose levels have a significant effect (P <0.05). This study shows that the feed consumption value, glucose levels, blood urea levels, hemoglobin and hematocrit are in the normal or good range, it can be concluded that the feeding given in each treatment shows a good feed formulation and is safe for livestock to consume.
