Abstract
Gagal jantung adalah kondisi jantung yang tidak dapat memompa cukup darah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tubuh. Pasien gagal jantung akan menjalani perawatan jangka panjang karena sulit sembuh secara total. Oleh karena itu, diperlukannya literasi kesehatan yang memadai agar mampu membuat keputusan sendiri untuk mencegah dan mengobati penyakitnya. Upaya dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan salah satunya dengan memberikan edukasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi melalui website terhadap literasi kesehatan pasien gagal jantung. Metode yang digunakan yaitu quasi-experimental dengan pendekatan preposttest with control group design. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 42 responden dengan 21 responden kelompok kontrol dan 21 responden kelompok intervensi. Instrumen untuk mengukur literasi kesehatan menggunakan Heart Failure Specific Health Literacy Scale. Data yang terkumpul dilakukan uji paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test. Hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan literasi kesehatan pada pemberian edukasi dengan leaflet nilai p value 0.049 (<0.05) maupun website nilai p value 0.000 (<0.05). Hasil uji independent sample ttest menunjukkan sebelum diberikan edukasi tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada literasi kesehatan antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol nilai p value 0.649 (>0.05). Hasil setelah diberikan intervensi didapatkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada literasi kesehatan antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol nilai p value 0.049 (<0.05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah edukasi self-care melalui website terdapat pengaruh yang lebih signifikan terhadap literasi kesehatan pasien gagal jantung. Diharapkan website edukasi self-care ini bisa terus digunakan pasien gagal jantung untuk meningkatkan keterampilan akan self-care.
English Abstract
Heart failure is a condition where the heart cannot pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. Patients with heart failure will undergo long-term treatment because they find it difficult to recover completely. Therefore, adequate health literacy is necessary for patients to make their own decisions to prevent and treat their illness. One effort to improve the health literacy of heart failure patients is through education. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of education via a website on the health literacy of heart failure patients. The method used is a quasi-experimental approach with a pre-posttest control group design. The sample size in this study was 42 respondents, with 21 respondents in the control group and 21 respondents in the intervention group. The instrument used to measure health literacy was the Heart Failure Specific Health Literacy Scale. The collected data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a difference in health literacy with leaflet education, with a p-value of 0.049 (<0.05), and with website education, with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). The conclusion of this study is that self-care education through a website has a more significant impact on the health literacy of heart failure patients. It is hoped that this self-care educational website can continue to be used by heart failure patients to improve their self-care skills.
