English Abstract

The demand for clean water increases with population growth. Referring to the 1945 Constitution Chapter 33 Paragraph 3 affirms that the earth and water and the natural resources contained therein are controlled by the state and used for the greatest prosperity of the people, so the state is certainly obliged to be present in fulfilling access to clean water for daily activities to ensure the welfare of its people. The residents of Beji Sub-district are no exception. However, a survey in the field shows that until now, the community in the sub-district still relies on dug wells in each household to fulfil their clean water needs, even though there is a reservoir built near the area. From these problems, a clean water network planning effort is needed by PDAM Pasuruan Regency, by utilizing the unused outflow discharge at the Beji Reservoir Unit and rehabilitating the existing distribution network to meet the clean water needs of residents. In this study, the planning and development of the clean water distribution network is carried out by calculating the projected clean water demand for the next 15 years starting from 2022 to 2037, referring to Ministerial Regulation No. 18 of 2007 concerning the Implementation of the Development of Drinking Water Supply Systems. For pipe hydraulics analysis will be using EPANET software which can model various time conditions of clean water demand, calculate water velocity, pressure height, pipe pressure for minimising damage that will occur. By planning a service percentage of 100% in the existing and development areas in the two villages, the projected average water demand in 2037 in the two villages of Cangkringmalang Village is 8.36 litres/second and Gununggangsir Village is 5.67 litres/second. With a total population served in both villages of 17,351 people. The Budget Plan Cost estimated in the study of clean water distribution piping network in the Beji Reservoir Unit area of Pasuruan Regency is Rp4,861,748,000.
