Abstract
Peneliti membahas bagaimana peran produser dalam manajerial produksi music video “Nothin’ More Than a Friend”. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk menjawab permasalahan terkait peran produser yang sangat penting dalam manajerial produksi dalam pembuatan music video. Untuk melakukan penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan dasar observasi partisipatif dan dokumentasi. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut: (1) Produser memainkan peran vital dalam mengoordinasikan tim produksi, mengatur jadwal, dan memastikan kelancaran proses produksi. (2) Pembuatan music video dilakukan dengan 3 tahap. Peran Produser dalam 3 tahap tersebut adalah melakukan perencanaan ide, konsep, jadwal produksi dll (tahapan pra produksi), mengelola dan mengarahkan kegiatan (tahapan produksi), dan mengawasi, memastikan, serta melakukan pemeriksaan (tahapan pasca produksi). (3) Produser bertanggung jawab saat keseluruhan proses produksi dan melalukan POC (Planning, Organizing, dan Controlling).
English Abstract
The researchers discuss the role of the producer in managing the production of the music video "Nothin’ More Than a Friend." This study aims to address issues related to the crucial role of the producer in the managerial aspects of music video production. The author employs qualitative research methods, based on participatory observation and documentation, to conduct this study. The findings of the research are as follows: (1) The producer plays a vital role in coordinating the production team, scheduling, and ensuring the smooth running of the production process. (2) The creation of the music video is carried out in three stages. The producer's roles in these stages include planning ideas, concepts, production schedules, etc. (pre-production stage), managing and directing activities (production stage), and supervising, ensuring, and inspecting (post-production stage). (3) The producer is responsible for the entire production process and carries out POC (Planning, Organizing, and Controlling).
