Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembuatan animasi karakter dalam video eksplainer ASPI - QRIS Bank Indonesia. Proses ini terdiri dari tahapan pre-production, production, dan post-production. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Pada tahap pre-production, motion designer membuat prototype motion dan menyiapkan alat yang diperlukan. Pada tahap production, motion designer menerima timeframe dari produser, mengadaptasi file ilustrasi karakter, dan menghidupkan karakter melalui animasi. Pada tahap postproduction, tim motion melakukan revisi berdasarkan umpan balik dari klien dan produser, lalu mengkompilasi animasi menjadi satu video utuh. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan beberapa kendala teknis dan tantangan dalam koordinasi tim serta proses revisi. Namun, melalui pengalaman ini, penulis memperoleh wawasan berharga dalam mengelola proyek animasi dan meningkatkan keterampilan teknis serta koordinasi tim.
English Abstract
This research aims to describe the process of creating character animation in the ASPI - QRIS Bank Indonesia explainer video. The process consists of pre-production, production, and post-production stages. The study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation and documentation. In the pre-production stage, the motion designer creates motion prototypes and prepares the necessary tools. During the production stage, the motion designer receives the timeframe from the producer, adapts the illustration files, and brings the characters to life through animation. In the postproduction stage, the motion team makes revisions based on feedback from the client and producer, then compiles the animations into a complete video. This research reveals several technical challenges and coordination issues within the team and during the revision process. However, through this experience, the author gained valuable insights into managing animation projects and improving technical skills and team coordination.
