Pengaruh Pendidikan Kesehatan Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) Dengan Pendekatan Permainan Simulasi Terhadap Tingkat Pengetahuan Siswa SD Kalisongo Malang

Abstract

Henti jantung merupakan keadaan kegawatdaruratan yang mengancam nyawa. Salah satu upaya pencegahan kematian akibat henti jantung adalah dengan Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) yaitu dengan pemberian Resusitasi Jantung Paru (RJP). Keterampilan RJP dapat diajarkan kepada semua kalangan, bahkan dapat dimulai pada siswa SD dengan metode pendidikan kesehatan yang tepat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan BHD dengan pendekatan permainan simulasi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswa SD Kalisongo Malang. Metode penelitian adalah quasy experiment dengan desain pre-test post-test control group design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel kelompok perlakuan 42 responden dan kelompok kontrol 21 responden, total keseluruhan sampel sebanyak 63 responden. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan BHD. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh signifikan (pvalue = 0.000, α = 0.05). Sementara itu, hasil uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kedua kelompok (p-value saat pre-test = 0.403, p-value saat post-test = 0.308, α = 0.05). Kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil penelitian yaitu pendidikan BHD dengan metode permainan simulasi dan membaca leaflet dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang BHD khususnya pada tingkat psikomotorik siswa SD Kalisongo Malang, tetapi tidak ada perbedaan signifikan tingkat pengetahuan antara metode permainan simulasi dengan metode membaca leaflet. Disarankan agar jumlah sampel masingmasing kelompok tidak jauh berbeda serta dapat meminimalkan faktor perancu dengan menjaga ketertiban dan ketenangan kelas pada kedua kelompok.

English Abstract

Cardiac arrest is a life-threatening emergency. One of the efforts to prevent death due to cardiac arrest is through Basic Life Support (BLS) which involves Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). CPR skills can be taught to everyone, even starting from elementary school students with the appropriate health education methods. The purpose of this researched was to determine the effect of BHD health education with a simulation game approached on the level of knowledge of Kalisongo Elementary School students in Malang. The researched method was quasy experiment with a pre-test post-test controlled group design. The sample was taken using purposive sampling techniques. Total sample of the treatment group was 42 respondents and the control group was 21 respondents, 63 respondents in total. Data were collected using the BHD knowledge questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon statistical test and Mann-Whitney test. Wilcoxon test results showed there was a significant effect (p-valued = 0.000, α = 0.05). Meanwhile, the Mann-Whitney test results showed no significant difference between the two groups (p-valued at pre-test = 0.403, p-value at post-test = 0.308, α = 0.05). The conclusion based on the result of this study is that BLS education using the simulation game method and leaflet reading can increase knowledge about BLS, especially at the psychomotor level of students, but there is no significant difference in the level of knowledge between the simulation game method and the leaflet reading method. It is recommended that the sample size for each group is not much different and can minimize confounding factors by maintaining class order and calm in both groups.
