Abstract
Studi ini meneliti peran produser sebagai supervisi dalam pembuatan film Will You Look at Me?. Film ini merupakan karya seni yang mengangkat tema introspeksi diri dan hubungan antar individu di dunia modern. Produser memainkan peran penting dalam memastikan keseluruhan proses produksi, mulai dari pra-produksi, produksi, hingga pasca-produksi, dalam industri film. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan anggota tim produksi, observasi langsung selama proses pembuatan film, dan analisis dokumentasi yang relevan. Penelitian ini berkonsentrasi pada tugas supervisi produser seperti manajemen anggaran, penjadwalan, koordinasi antar departemen, dan pengambilan keputusan kreatif. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dalam penelitian ini, penulis menemukan bahwa peran supervisi produser sangat penting dalam pembuatan film, yang memerlukan kombinasi kemampuan manajerial dan kreatif. Diharapkan temuan ini akan memberikan wawasan bagi para profesional di industri film dan akademisi yang tertarik dengan studi produksi film.
English Abstract
This study examines the producer's role as supervision in the making of the movie Will You Look at Me? This movie is a work of art that raises the theme of self-introspection and relationships between individuals in the modern world. Producers play an important role in ensuring the entire production process, from pre-production, production, to post-production, in the film industry. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research collected data through in-depth interviews with production team members, direct observation during the filming process, and analysis of relevant documentation. The research concentrates on the producer's supervisory tasks such as budget management, scheduling, interdepartmental coordination, and creative decision-making. In conclusion, the author found that the role of producer supervision is very important in filmmaking, which requires a combination of managerial and creative skills. It is hoped that these findings will provide insights for professionals in the film industry and academics interested in the study of film production.
