Abstract

Pasien stroke mengalami kelemahan pada salah satu sisi tubuhnya akibat berkurangnya tonus otot sehingga mengalami hemiparesis. Masalah keperawatan yang paling sering ditemui pada pasien stroke adalah gangguan mobilitas fisik. Terapi yang biasa dilakukan untuk pasien dengan gangguan mobilitas fisik adalah dengan terapi Range Of Motion (ROM). Terapi ROM hanya meningkatkan kekuatan otot melalui gerakan motorik pasien, sehingga diperlukan alternatif terapi lain yang lebih efektif salah satunya adalah terapi cermin. Terapi cermin merupakan salah satu bentuk rehabilitasi gerak yang mengandalkan dan melatih imajinasi motorik pasien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan terapi cermin untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot pada pasien stroke dengan gangguan mobilitas fisik. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah case study dengan penerapan intervensi berbasis bukti. Intervensi diberikan selama 6 hari sebanyak 1 kali sehari dengan durasi 5-7 menit sebanyak 8 kali gerakan dalam satu kali latihan. Responden pada penelitian ini Tn.S dan Tn. W dengan kelemahan pada ekstremitas atas kiri dan ekstremitas bawah kiri dengan skor masing-masing 3, kecuali pada ekstremitas atas Tn. W mengalami kelemahan dengan skor 2. Hasil intervensi selama 6 hari menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada setiap ekstremitas responden yang mengalami kelemahan. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat peningkatan kekuatan otot sebelum dan sesudah diberikan terapi cermin pada pasien stroke dengan gangguan mobilitas fisik. Saran pada penelitian ini adalah diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi pustaka untuk melakukan intervensi terapi cermin untuk menstimulasi pasien stroke yang mengalami gangguan mobilitas fisik.

English Abstract

Hemiparesis, or weakness on one side of the body, is a result of the stroke patient's decreased muscle tone. Physical mobility disorders are the most common nursing concern among stroke patients. Patients with physical mobility issues typically get range of motion therapy (ROM). Mirror therapy is one more alternative therapy that is more effective than ROM therapy since it builds muscle strength only through the patient's motor movement. One type of motion rehabilitation that uses the patient's motor imagination to its advantage is mirror therapy. The purpose of this research is to determine how well mirror therapy works in restoring muscle strength to stroke patients who have limited physical mobility. This study used an evidence-based intervention in a case study methodology. The six-day intervention consists of one session every day, lasting five to seven minutes, and consists of eight motions in one exercise. With the exception of the top extremity, study participants Mr. S and Mr. W had deficiencies in their upper and lower left extremities, scoring three points each. Mr. W received a two for weakening. The intervention's six-day results demonstrated a noteworthy improvement in each of the respondents' weakening extremities. The study's findings showed that stroke patients with physical mobility impairment had increased muscle strength both before and after mirror therapy. The study's proposal is that it should serve as a library for mirror therapy techniques meant to encourage stroke victims with physical mobility impairments.
