Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai isu Pendidikan yang ada di daerah terpencil seperti pada daerah pulau belitong. Pendidikan pada daerah terpencil ini masih menjadi permasalahan terkait dengan keterbatasan fasilitas Pendidikan dan akses menuju sekolah serta hambatan sosial dan ekonomi yang masih banyak terjadi. Dalam konteks ini, film berjudul Laskar Pelangi menggambarkan mengenai bagaimana Pendidikan dapat menjadi alat pemberdayaan dan transformasi bagi individu maupun komunitas meskipun dalam kondisi yang kurang memadai atau terbatas. penelitian ini berusaha menjawab masyarakat bagaimana menghadapi hambatan dan solusi dari Pendidikan pada daerah terpencil. Metode yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir ini adalah kualitatif studi kasus yang dilakukan dengan cara mendalami melalui riset pada film dan objek yang dituju, kemudian melakukan observasi untuk memperoleh informasi dan pernyataan-pernyataan terkait isu Pendidikan yang terjadi. Dari penelitian didapatkan hasil berikut : (1) Pada daerah terpencil masih sulit mendapatkan infrastruktur sekolah yang memadai (2) tingginya angka putus sekolah dikarenakan lebih tergiur untuk bekerja (3) masalah ekonomi dan akses yang sulit.
English Abstract
This research discusses education issues in remote areas such as the Belitong Island area. Education in remote areas is still a problem related to limited educational facilities and access to schools as well as social and economic obstacles that still occur. In this context, the film entitled Laskar Pelangi describes how education can be a tool of empowerment and transformation for individuals and communities even in inadequate or limited conditions. This research seeks to answer the community on how to face obstacles and solutions to education in remote areas. The method used in completing this final assignment is a qualitative case study which is carried out by in-depth research on the film and the object being targeted, then making observations to obtain information and statements related to the educational issues that occur. From the research, the following results were obtained: (1) In remote areas it is still difficult to obtain adequate school infrastructure (2) high school dropout rates due to being more tempted to work (3) economic problems and difficult access.
