Abstract

Infrastruktur jalan di Indonesia dominan memakai jenis perkerasan kaku (rigid pavement). Perkerasan kaku sudah banyak diterapkan dalam pembangunan jalan lokal hingga jalan pedesaan. Pelaksanaan pekerjaan jalan pedesaan adalah tipikal berupa padat karya. Sehingga untuk mencapai pemadatan tanah sebagai tanah dasar (subgrade) yang direncanakan dan sesuai standar akan sulit tercapai, terlebih dilakukan di desa yang notebene minim pengawasan. Pembebanan pada jalan pedesaan memiliki karakter unik karena beban yang terjadi sering kali mengalami fluktuatif yang besar (overloading). Overloading beban jalan pedesaan dapat menimbulkan masalah bagi perkerasan kaku tersebut. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan penelitian mengenai lendutan pelat perkerasan kaku dengan variasi nilai CBR tanah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan variasi nilai CBR tanah dasar sebesar 5,77%, 8,12%, dan 12,83% pada mutu beton 35 MPa. Pembuatan spesimen dilakukan dengan uji slump dan pembuatan beton silinder serta curing selama kurang lebih 16 hari. Pengujian spesimen dilaksanakan pada frame uji dengan kapasitas 300 kN pada umur beton lebih dari 28 hari. Berdasarkan hasil teoritis dan eksperimen, nilai CBR tanah dasar memengaruhi lendutan pelat perkerasan kaku. Pada mutu beton 35 MPa dan pembebanan yang sama sebesar 200 kN, variasi nilai CBR tanah dasar 5,77%, 8,12%, dan 12,83% menghasilkan lendutan teoritis berturut-turut sebesar 5,04 mm, 4,25 mm, dan 3,41 mm. Sedangkan, hasil lendutan eksperimen berturut-turut sebesar 5,29 mm, 4,48 mm, dan 2,31 mm. Hal ini membuktikan hasil lendutan teoritis dan eksperimen tidak berbeda jauh dan sesuai dengan hipotesis. Selain itu, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa semakin tinggi nilai CBR tanah dasar maka lendutan spesimen yang terjadi akan semakin kecil.

English Abstract

Road infrastructure in Indonesia predominantly uses rigid pavement. Rigid pavement has been widely applied in the construction of local roads to rural roads. Carrying out rural road work is typically labor intensive. So, achieving planned soil compaction as subgrade and according to standards will be difficult to achieve, especially in villages where there is minimal supervision. Loading on rural roads has a unique character because the load often experiences large fluctuations (overloading). Overloading rural roads can cause problems for the rigid pavement. Therefore, research is needed regarding the deflection of rigid pavement plates with variations in the CBR value of the subgrade. This research uses variations in basic soil CBR values of 5,77%, 8,12%, and 12,83% for concrete quality of 35 MPa. The specimens were made by slump test and cylindrical concrete making and curing for approximately 16 days. Specimen testing was carried out on a test frame with a capacity of 300 kN at a concrete age of more than 28 days. Based on theoretical and experimental results, the CBR value of the subgrade affects the deflection of the rigid pavement plate. At a concrete quality of 35 MPa and the same loading of 200 kN, variations in the CBR value of the subgrade of 5,77%, 8,12%, and 12,83% produce theoretical deflections of 5,04 mm, 4,25 mm, and 3,41 mm respectively. Meanwhile, the experimental deflection results were 5,29 mm, 4,48 mm and 2,31 mm respectively. This proves that the theoretical and experimental deflection results are not much different and are in accordance with the hypothesis. Apart from that, it can be concluded that the higher the CBR value of the base soil, the smaller the specimen deflection will be.
