Abstract

Era globalisasi mendorong perkembangan teknologi informasi di berbagai sektor industri, termasuk dalam industri pet shop. Orino Pet Shop and Vet Clinic yang bergerak di industri pet shop kota Malang, masih melakukan pencatatan penjadwalan layanan grooming dan pet hotel secara manual, sehingga memerlukan banyak waktu dan usaha. Hal tersebut menjadi permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh Orino Pet Shop and Vet Clinic. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk membantu Orino Pet Shop and Vet Clinic dalam mengembangkan sistem informasi berbasis web yang memiliki persyaratan utama dalam pencatatan penjadwalan layanan yang tersedia. Dengan pengembangan sistem informasi ini, penulis berharap proses pemesanan layanan dapat lebih mudah, baik dari sisi pelanggan maupun dari sisi pengurus yang menangani proses pemesanan dan mengelola penjadwalan layanan. Sistem informasi ini dikembangkan menggunakan pendekatan prototyping yang dilakukan dari pemahaman kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi sistem informasi yang menggunakan desain Model-View-Controller (MVC) pada bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan framework Laravel, dan beberapa iterasi yang diperlukan. Hasil pengembangan tersebut berupa aplikasi berbasis web yang memiliki fitur utama untuk melakukan pencatatan penjadwalan layanan secara otomatis berdasarkan pesanan yang masuk. Sistem berhasil diuji menggunakan pengujian fungsional untuk memvalidasi fungsi pada semua test case. Pengujian usability juga dilakukan terhadap enam responden dalam menggunakan fitur pada sistem informasi. Setelah menggunakan fitur tersebut, responden diwawancarai untuk mengetahui kesulitan atau kendala yang mereka alami. Hasil pengujian usability menunjukkan bahwa semua fitur pada sistem berhasil diuji dengan baik oleh keenam responden.

English Abstract

The era of globalization encourages the development of information technology in various industrial sectors, including in the pet shop industry. Orino Pet Shop and Vet Clinic, which is engaged in the pet shop industry in Malang, still records the scheduling of grooming and pet hotel services manually, which requires a lot of time and effort. This is the main problem faced by Orino Pet Shop and Vet Clinic. This thesis aims to help Orino Pet Shop and Vet Clinic in developing a web-based information system that has the main requirements in recording the scheduling of available services. With the development of this information system, the author hopes that the service booking process can be easier, both from the customer's side and from the side of the administrators who handle the booking process and manage service scheduling. This information system was developed using a prototyping approach carried out from understanding needs, designing systems, implementing information systems that use Model-View-Controller (MVC) designs in the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework, and several iterations as needed. The result of the development is a web-based application that has the main feature of automatically recording service scheduling based on incoming orders. The system was successfully tested using functional testing to validate the functions in all test cases. Usability testing was also conducted on six respondents in using the features of the information system. After using the features, respondents were interviewed to find out the difficulties or obstacles they experienced. The results of usability testing showed that all features on the system were successfully tested by all six respondents.
