Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh antara variabel Information Needs terhadap variabel Information Retrieval, pengaruh variabel Information Seeking Behavior terhadap variabel Information Retrieval, serta pengaruh variabel Information Needs dan variabel Information Seeking Behavior terhadap variabel Information Retrieval. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah explanatory dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 92 Mahasiswa Angkatan 2020 Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi Universitas Brawijaya. Metode penggumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linear berganda dan uji hipotesis (uji F dan uji t). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel Information Needs bepengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel Information Retrieval dengan hasil sig. <0.001. Variabel Information Seeking Behavior berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel Information Retrieval dengan nilai sig. <0.001. Serta variabel Information Needs dan variabel Information Seeking Behavior secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel Information Retrieval dengan nilai sig. <0.001.
English Abstract
This study aims to test and analyse the influence between information needs variables on information retrieval variables, the influence between information seeking behavior variables on information retrieval variables, and the influence between information needs variables and information seeking behavior on information retrieval variables. This type of research is explanatory with quantitative approach. The sample used was 92 students of Class 2020 Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi Universitas Brawijaya. The data collection method used was a questionnaire. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing (F test and t test). The result of this study indicate that the the information needs variable has a significant effect on the information retrieval variable with a significance value < 0.001. The information seeking behavior variable has a significant effect on the information retrieval variable with a significance value < 0.001. And the information needs variable and the information seeking behavior variable simultaneously have a significant effect on the information retrieval variable with a significance value <0.001.
