Abstract

Kepatuhan (compliance) siswa dapat menjadi salah satu tolak ukur keberhasilan akademik di sekolah. Fenomena saat ini banyak siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas yang tidak patuh akan peraturan yang berlaku di sekolah, banyak faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kepatuhan siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas salah satunya adalah student-teacher relationship. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat hubungan antara student-teacher relationship dengan kepatuhan siswa Sekolah Menegah Atas. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Jumlah responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 209 siswa (83 laki – laki & 126 perempuan) Sekolah Menengah Atas. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah skala S-TSRI untuk mengukur student-teacher relationship dan skala compliance to school classroom norms untuk mengukur tingkat kepatuhan siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis data berupa uji korelasi pearson correlation product moment menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara student-teacher relationship dengan kepatuhan pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas/Sederajat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, semakin baik hubungan siswa dengan guru di sekolah, maka semakin baik pula tingkat kepatuhan siswa.

English Abstract

Student’s compliance can be one measure of academic success at school. The current phenomenon in Indonesia is that many high school students do not comply with the school regulations. Many factors can influence the level of high school student’s compliance, one of which is student-teacher relationship. This study aims to look whether there is a relationship between student-teacher relationship and compliance among high school students. The method that is used in this study is quantitative correlational. The number of respondents in this study was 209 high school students (83 male and 126 females). The measuring instruments used in this study are S-TSRI scale to measure student-teacher relationship and compliance to school classroom norms scale to measure compliance of high school students. The results of this study using pearson product moment correlation shows that there is a relationship between student-teacher relationship and compliance among high school students. The implications of this study is the better relationship between students and teacher the higher level of .
