Abstract
Semburan Lumpur Lapindo yang terjadi pada tahun 2006 di Kabupaten Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur, telah berlangsung selama 16 tahun dan menyebabkan kerusakan lingkungan signifikan, termasuk rusaknya lahan, struktur geologi bawah tanah, dan polusi udara akibat gas yang keluar bersama lumpur. Pusat semburan yang terus bertambah menyebabkan tanggul menjadi dangkal, sehingga lumpur harus dipompa ke Sungai Porong, mencemari air sungai tersebut. Sumur gali di area sekitar sering berubah warna dan keruh, mengindikasikan penurunan kualitas air tanah yang kemungkinan disebabkan oleh interaksi antara air tanah dan air Sungai Porong. Penelitian diperlukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pencemaran Lumpur Lapindo terhadap air Sungai Porong dan sumur gali penduduk, serta interaksi antara air tanah dan air sungai. Penelitian ini melibatkan pengujian kualitas air tanah dan air sungai berdasarkan standar baku mutu air minum, serta analisis parameter fisik dan karakteristik kimia air dari sampel sumur gali di sekitar lokasi penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pola aliran air tanah baik di sebelah kiri maupun kanan di sepanjang Sungai Porong berdasarkan penelitian mengalir dari Timur Laut mengarah ke arah Barat Daya sebelah hilir. Terjadi interaksi antara air tanah dengan air permukaan di sepanjang Sungai Porong yang ditunjukkan dengan sifat fisik air, dengan hasil nilai korelasi berkisar antara 0,615 – 0,997 dan hasil interpretasi korelasi dari kuat hingga sangat kuat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terjadi interaksi antara air tanah dengan air permukaan di sepanjang Sungai Porong yang ditunjukkan dengan sifat karakteristik kimia air yang sama yaitu kandungan alkali tanah yang lebih dari kandungan alkalinya, kandungan asam lemah lebih dari asam kuatnya, maka sifat kimia air tanah pada lokasi tersebut didominir oleh alkali tanah serta asam lemah. Selanjutnya kandungan tembaga (Cu) pada Lumpur Lapindo, Sungai Porong, dan sumur gali warga yang terletak di sekitar Sungai Porong telah berada di bawah standar baku mutu yaitu 2 mg/L dan di penelitian ini membuktikan terdapat keterkaitan kandungan tembaga (Cu) yang berasal dari Lumpur Lapindo, juga berpengaruh pada Sungai Porong, dan kandungan tembaga yang berada di Sungai Porong juga berpengaruh pada sumur gali warga yang berada di sekitar sungai porong.
English Abstract
The Lapindo mudflow, which occurred in 2006 in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, has persisted for 16 years and caused significant environmental damage, including land degradation, underground geological structure damage, and air pollution due to gas released with the mud. The continuously expanding eruption center has caused the levees to become shallow, necessitating the pumping of mud into the Porong River, contaminating its water. Wells in the surrounding area often change color and become turbid, indicating a decline in groundwater quality likely due to the interaction between groundwater and the Porong River water. Research is needed to analyze the impact of Lapindo mud pollution on the Porong River water and residential wells, as well as the interaction between groundwater and river water. This study involves testing the quality of groundwater and river water based on drinking water quality standards, as well as analyzing the physical parameters and chemical characteristics of water from well samples in the study area. The analysis results show that the groundwater flow pattern on both the left and right sides along the Porong River flows from the northeast towards the southwest downstream. There is an interaction between groundwater and surface water along the Porong River, as indicated by the physical properties of the water, with correlation values ranging from 0.615 to 0.997 and interpretation results showing strong to very strong correlations. The analysis results also show an interaction between groundwater and surface water along the Porong River, indicated by similar chemical characteristics of the water, where the alkaline earth metal content is higher than the alkali content, and the weak acid content is higher than the strong acid content. Thus, the chemical properties of the groundwater in that location are dominated by alkaline earth metals and weak acids. Furthermore, the copper (Cu) content in the Lapindo mud, Porong River, and residential wells around the Porong River is below the quality standard of 2 mg/L. This study proves that there is a correlation between the copper (Cu) content originating from the Lapindo mud, which also affects the Porong River, and the copper content in the Porong River also affects the residential wells around the Porong River.
