Abstract
Menilai perbedaan kadar IL-6 serum pada pasien toksoplasmosis okuler (TO) dibandingkan individu seropositif tanpa lesi okuler serta hubungan antara kadar Interleukin-6 (IL-6) serum dengan nilai perfusi vaskular retina menggunakan optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) pada pasien TO. Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah analitik observasional dengan studi potong lintang. Teknik Pengambilan sampel secara consecutive, yaitu subjek dikelompokkan ke dalam kelompok toksoplasmosis okuler (TO) atau seropositif tanpa lesi okuler (SP). Dilakukan pemeriksaan oftalmologi lengkap, lalu diambil sampel darah tepi untuk pemeriksaan serologis. Kadar IL-6 serum diukur dengan metode ELISA. Pada kelompok TO dilakukan pemeriksaan OCTA. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Hasil: Didapatkan total 34 subjek yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, terbagi menjadi 16 pasien pada kelompok TO dan 18 subjek pada kelompok SP. Didapatkan rata – rata kadar IL-6 serum pada kelompok TO lebih rendah (49,61 ± 11,64 ng/L) daripada kelompok SP (226,81 ± 239,91 ng/L) dan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan (p=0,000). Terdapat total 13 pasien pada kelompok TO yang dapat dilakukan uji korelasi antara kadar IL-6 dengan nilai perfusi vaskular retina. Rata – rata perfusi vaskular pada kelompok TO adalah 34,10 9,92%. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kadar IL-6 dan nilai perfusi vaskular retina (p=0,143). Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan signifikan kadar IL-6 serum antara kelompok TO dan seropositif tanpa lesi okuler, dengan kadar IL-6 serum lebih rendah pada kelompok TO. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara kadar IL-6 serum dengan nilai perfusi vaskular retina pada pemeriksaan OCTA.
English Abstract
To evaluate the difference in serum IL-6 levels between ocular toxoplasmosis patients and seropositive individuals without ocular lesions, as well as the correlation between serum IL-6 levels and retinal vascular perfusion in OT patients using Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA). Methods: This study used analytic observation with a cross-sectional study design conducted using consecutive sampling. Subjects will be grouped into ocular toxoplasmosis (OT) or seropositive (SP) groups. Complete ophthalmological examinations were performed and blood examinations were taken for serological testing. Serum IL-6 levels was measured using ELISA. The OT group continued with OCTA examination to evaluate retinal vascular perfusion. The data then analysed using SPSS. Hasil: A total of 34 subjects were included, with 16 patients in the OT group and 18 subjects in the SP group. The average serum IL-6 levels were lower in the OT group (49.61 ± 11.64 ng/L) than in the SP group (226.81 ± 239.91 ng/L) (p=0.000). There were 13 subjects in the OT group that continued OCTA examinations, with an average retinal vascular perfusion of 34.10 ± 9.92%. The level of IL-6 serum was not significantly correlated with retinal vascular perfusion (p = 0.143). Conclusion: There were significant differences in serum IL-6 levels between OT patients and seropositive subjects without ocular lesions, where the levels were lower in the OT patients. There was no correlation between serum IL-6 levels and retinal vascular perfusion values using OCTA.
