Abstract

Menilai perbedaan kadar Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha (TNF-α) serum pada pasien toksoplasmosis okuler (TO) dibandingkan individu seropositif tanpa lesi okuler (SP) serta hubungannya dengan densitas pembuluh darah retina melalui Ocular Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) pasien TO. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi analitik observasional melalui pendekatan potong lintang. Subjek penelitian adalah pasien TO dan individu SP yang menjalani pemeriksaan di Poliklinik Mata RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. Pada kedua kelompok dilakukan pemeriksaan kadar Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha (TNF-α) serum dengan metode sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pada kelompok TO dilakukan pengukuran densitas pembuluh darah retina melalui OCTA dengan Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT 5000. Densitas yang diukur adalah full region pada analisa Angioplex™ dengan luas 6x6 mm pada area lesi. Analisa statistik dengan SPSS 26.0 dilakukan melalui uji beda untuk melihat perbedaan kadar TNF-α serum antara kelompok TO dan SP, dan pada kelompok TO uji korelasi untuk melihat hubungan kadar TNF-α serum dengan densitas pembuluh darah retina. Hasil: Pada penelitian ini didapatkan total subjek sebanyak 34 orang, yakni 16 subjek dengan TO dan 18 subjek SP. Kadar TNF-α serum antara kelompok TO dan SP tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p=0,629). Kadar TNF-α serum dengan densitas pembuluh darah retina pada kelompok TO juga tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan (p=0,804). Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat perbedaan kadar TNF-α serum antara kelompok TO dan SP, dan kadar TNF-α serum pada kelompok TO tidak berhubungan dengan densitas pembuluh darah pada OCTA.

English Abstract

To assess the differences in serum Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha (TNF-α) levels in ocular toxoplasmosis (OT) patients compared to seropositive individuals without ocular lesions (SP) and its relationship with retinal vessel density through Ocular Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) in OT patients. Method: This study was conducted as an observational analytical design using a cross-sectional approach. The research subjects were OT patients and SP individuals who underwent examination at the eye clinic of Dr. Saiful Anwar General Hospital, Malang. In both groups, the serum Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha (TNF-α) levels were examined using the sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. In the OT group, retinal blood vessel density was measured via OCTA with a Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT 5000. The density measured was the full region on the Angioplex™ analysis with the size of 6x6 mm in the lesion area. Statistical analysis with SPSS 26.0 was carried out to see the difference in serum TNF-α levels between the OT and SP groups, and in the OT group a correlation test conducted to see the relationship between serum TNF-α levels and retinal blood vessel density. Results: There were 34 subjects obtained in this study, 16 subjects with OT and 18 SP subjects. The serum TNF-α levels between the OT and seropositive group did not show a significant difference (p=0.629). The serum TNF-α levels and retinal vessel density of OT group also showed no significant relationship (p=0.804). Conclusions: There were no difference in serum TNF-α levels between the OT group and seropositive individuals, and the serum TNF-α levels in the OT group were not related to the retinal vessel density on OCTA.
