Abstract
Lansia termasuk kelompok yang rentan terhadap masalah–masalah kesehatan, dimana kekebalan imun tubuh yang sudah menurun sehingga mudah terserang penyakit. Kesehatan gigi dan mulut menjadi salah satu masalah yang berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan secara keseluruhan sehingga mempengaruhi kualitas hidup pada lanjut usia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pandangan pandangan individu Lansia, Kader Posyandu, dan Dokter Gigi Puskesmas mengenai pentingnya layanan kesehatan gigi dan mulut lansia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Data yang telah dikumpulkan, dianalisis dan dibuat coding, tema, dan disajikan dalam narasi. Jumlah informan dibutuhkan adalah lansia sebanyak sembilan orang, Kader Posyandu sejumlah delapan belas orang, dan satu orang Dokter Gigi Puskesmas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa belum ada pelayanan kesehatan gigi dan mulut di posyandu lansia Kelurahan Tlogomas. Keluhan kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang sering dialami oleh lansia yaitu gigi berlubang, karies gigi, dan penyakit periodontal. Lansia, kader posyandu, dan dokter gigi mengharapkan diadakan pelayanan kesehatan gigi dan mulut berupa upaya promotif dan preventif yaitu pemeriksaan rutin, konsultasi, dan penyuluhan. Akan tetapi terdapat kendala yaitu terbatasnya dokter gigi puskesmas dan kurangnya sarana dan prasaran yang memadai sehingga ada keterbatasan akses untuk pelayanan kesehatan gigi.
English Abstract
The elderly are a group that is vulnerable to health problems, where the body's immunity has decreased so that it is susceptible to disease. Oral health is one of the problems that has a negative impact on overall health, thus affecting the quality of life in the elderly. This study aims to determine the views of elderly individuals, Posyandu cadres, and Puskesmas dentists regarding the importance of dental and oral health services for the elderly. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documents. The data that has been collected, analyzed and made coding, themes, and presented in narrative. The number of informants needed is nine elderly people, eighteen Posyandu cadres, and one Puskesmas dentist. Based on the results of the research conducted, it is known that there is no oral health service in the posyandu for the elderly of Tlogomas Village. Oral health complaints that are often experienced by the elderly are cavities, dental caries, and periodontal disease. The elderly, posyandu cadres, and dentists expect oral health services to be held in the form of promotive and preventive efforts, namely routine examinations, consultations, and counseling. However, there are obstacles, namely the limited number of puskesmas dentists and the lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure so that there is limited access to dental health services.
